Such a beautiful and perfect gift. I still have the copy of "Little Women" that my grandmother gave me. I cherish it. I have read it many times and I'm sure that Liv will cherish the copy you gave her.
I like the bookcase color a lot. My OCD would really like you to center it under that lovely print. Sorry, can't help myself. Little Women was such a lovely gift to give.
I think there is no room to center the bookcase. John could line the edge of the bookcase with the edge of the artwork. Then make sure the sculpture is tall enough to balance the space. That was your eye will have somewhere to go following the lines.
Glad that your gift was so well received I still remember post of the girls visiting you and baking in the kitchen you always knew how to get down to their level and make them feel special, though the years no doubt this book will bring back these lovely memories.
You did a lovely thing there John. Randa is an unusual name. It means "scented tree" in Arabic. And reading matters. Good to know that Liv is so enthused by reading.
As was her father. When I came out to my parents, my father raised some objection (as if gayness were an arguable point) that gay people don't contribute to society the same way as straights, because they don't have children to worry about leaving the world a better place for. I knew then that that was total BS, and your gift reminds me just how much Dad missed seeing in the people around him.
You're a good man John-with a warm glowing heart x
