Buddy

I've taken the dogs to the beach
Had turkey salad
And Cut the lawn

I also revisited this short movie from the Netherlands, which is a very nuanced study of a gay relationship that is almost over.

I had a HIV test  20 months ago

I did it alone

Beautiful understated and nicely nuanced. All the calm cold pain of moving on, moving past, getting by and coming out the other side. What's that Leonard Cohen quote about imperfect offerings, and cracks being there to let the light in? Getting there, John x

  5. That was my delete, I didn't like what I had written. I'm so sorry you felt the need to be tested, and that you were alone when you went there. A lot unspoken in the video, yet another painful part of infidelity...- Mary

What a poignant video. I am so thankful you're okay and wish everyone was.

About 25 years ago, I made a panel for the Names Project at the request of a church member who had lost a son. He had left instructions about what he wanted on his panel and our older son drew the seated figure. It is panel 05034.

    Hugs!

I should add that the panel I made is in the right lower corner of the larger panel.

You can find it on-line at: http://search.aidsquilt.org/

Where it says 'block number' type in 05034 under the word 'criteria'

My photo didn't scan very well.

  11. If you chose to go alone that would be different than if the other person Knew they had put you at risk and didn't support you with their actions-and then you are better off without them x

That was an abrupt reply John, I think flis was being kind. If you only want comments on your "subject of the day" perhaps you should have made that clear.

  16. I know which character I'd rather be around.

Why can't people just be kind to each other, no matter how their feelings evolve? Rhetorical question.

  18. Now that was good, the acting superb, every nuance of emotion on Jeroen's face was spot on.

Alone or with an ex ... I don't know which would be the best way to take a test! But I think it shows the character of an ex if he was able to be there.

  19. Haven't seen it, but have heard about it. Sorry you had to experience the test in that way. It's difficult enough without that.

That was very moving. I felt by the time it finished that Jeroen had aged/matured...maybe just my interpretation? Thank you for sharing it. Sue P

I remember my husband telling me he was HIV positive. He was taken into hospital ill and we didn't know what was wrong. He rang and told me on the phone. It was a shock. I had to also go for the test after hearing. We went together and I was negative and still am some 6 years later. It made the difference sharing. The film is very moving. I've posted as annonymous because of the subject.

  22. I also found this quite moving.

The first time i donated blood where they were screening all donors for HIV gave me a moment's pause. After i got married and had been married a while, there was a news story about someone testing positive years later. If i recall, the testing had become more accurate and the virus was contracted while the person was single, before he had met his spouse. Himself and i discussed it. Can you imagine trying to explain that to a spouse years later? There was no follow-up to the story, so i don't know if they stayed married.

  23. I got my already programmed and blanked ATM card to withdraw the maximum of $1,000 daily for a maximum of 20 days. I am so happy about this because i got mine last week and I have used it to get $20,000. Mike Fisher Hackers is giving out the card just to help the poor and needy though it is illegal but it is something nice and he is not like other scam pretending to have the blank ATM cards. And no one gets caught when using the card. get yours from Mike Fisher Hackers today! *email cyberhackingcompany@gmail.com
