Rising Bosoms

I'm on my coffee break, my patients are sleeping and the wind is blowing hard around the hospice eves.
It's Sunday night and for the first time I'm missing The Archers...enough of those old episode repeats!
The Velvet Voiced Linda has messaged all of the wardens in the village and we have all answered promptly with an " all is well" message
I commented that it all sounded like the end of The Waltons
Linda replied with a pithy " Goodnight John Boy!"

I saw Trendy Carol earlier ( in a very figure hugging leopard print ensemble ) she had hijacked Mary for an afternoon cuddle...a lot of village people seem to be doing that recently.
Apart from her I have seen no one until I got to work.
My colleagues all seemed somewhat confused with Boris' new Stay Alert Message
The Welsh health minister made things clearer and more unambiguous....our message is generally Stay At Home.
The ponies have left my field now, which is a shame but the weeds and nettles have gone leaving the allotment areas free to be dug over again
" Bosoms " are on the rise again
Which is nice.

I bought the above poster for my bedroom

  2. Hello John-I am alert most of the time anyway being of a nervous disposition but am excited that Boris has allowed me on Wednesday to be able to take my darling dogs out to the countryside for as long as I wish. They will go crazy with excitement too. It's good news that your Bosoms are rising again-unfortunately there are no mounds here x

  3. Ha, you know what? I was thinking about your 'bosoms' the other day :)
How do you manage with digging the ground over? Do you use a rotorvator at all?

  4. Love the poster, been feeling that for quite some time!
Can't go yet, our travel restrictions are up to 150klms inside the state only, nearest beach is 200klm so hanging in a while longer...keeping Australia's numbers down worth it.

  5. Your health minister and our state health director apparently are cut from the same cloth: Stay Home if you Can.

    Wonderful poster!

It's been windy here for almost a week, some rain, and lots of clouds hurrying across the sky.

    All is well here, too.

    Hugs!

  8. I love that poster. Water seems to call to us all, in all its many forms.

"Good night, John Boy" - quick wit!

  9. Love the poster. I've been listening to the call of the sea recently and of course, unable to respond. Wales still on Lockdown. At least we know where we stand - no ambiguity there!

Crikey it was blowing a gale and a half yesterday and this morning the Barometer (our black cat Sam) will be making his presence felt in the kitchen as it's blardy cold out there!

  10. We are level 2 now; most things open I can go back to work on Monday 18th providing I get clearance from my Dr. Our numbers are very very low and I hope they flipping stay that way. As long as our borders remain closed only letting Kiwis back in, who then go into quarantine for 2 weeks, we should be ok. We had 3 new cases today 2 nurses who worked with a bubble of elderly who had Covid and 1; a returning Kiwi from USA TWO weeks ago... this virus has a long tail... I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I love your poster I used to collect mirrors when I was about 17 that were picked up by a boyfriend handy with a set of arrows from the local fairgrounds which had the same sort of theme; very art deco themed.

  13. I love your poster. I'm glad Mary is giving comfort. Raffie now runs into the neighbours I shop for as they have a stash of doggie biscuits, it gives them a lot of pleasure and as the husband has dementia Raffie gets several biccies !

What a surprise about Boris... I'm not changing anything, this bastard virus is still out there and deadly.

  15. Give Bosoms tender loving care. If you do Bosoms will repay you. It's not too late to scatter your seed upon Bosoms. Splendid poster by the way but change it with a felt tip to "Bosoms is calling and I must go". You will need your spade.

  16. Can only agree with you about the Archers, but it seems such a little thing at the moment. Love the poster, we are a long way from the sea.

  17. Not sure what BJ's 'stay alert' message means - it's ambiguous. 'Stay at home' is a sensible message. Stay alert for what? We can't see the virus. H'mm...

  18. Yellow is definitely your colour of the year John boy.

  19. 'Stay Alert' what a ridiculous thing to have as 'an instruction'!! I much prefer our Stay at Home message remaining, with hardly any changes. Last night only served to confuse matters even more.

Our dogs are stir crazy, but as Suky has a visit to the vets today we will once again be able to give them both a little walk away from home. It's the sniffing and the smells they miss most ... maybe I'll drag a pork chop around the paddock for them to follow the scent of :-)

  22. Getting some nice veggies in the ground, will ground you as well. Tomatoes, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, lettice, all so good, and fresh from the field.

Is Bosoms a character in The Archers? I think I missed the reference. It wouldn’t be the first time.
