Last night , just before bed the five of us walked slowly over to the field to sit in the last
Rays of the sun
I found this piece of music recently and listened to it on my headphones as the dogs
Slipped into comfortable lumps at my side and lap.
Albert tiptoed amid the bodies to sit
And typical of his breed, he narrowed his eyes towards the sunset

Soggy and dull - 2" of drenching rain yesterday, flowers beaten down, small river ran through the back garden. . . . . awaiting a week ahead with sunshine and drying out - need to be in my garden as not venturing much farther away yet.

ReplyDeleteStruggling a bit here, we're shielding and although it's comforting to feel safe it's not that easy as husband has dementia and 24 hour care can get a bit wearying. Making sure to appreciate all those little moments of kindness and nature. I listened to the owls hooting late last night and was wakened by the dawn chorus this morning, the simple things are definitely the best.
John, I wish I were there sitting very quietly with you all. A beautiful experience during these difficult times. Glad you had it. So moving. I'm visualizing myself there as well. Hugs from "across The Pond."

Lovely post John and I admire Albert how he casually joins in when he feels like it an interesting pack mentality bless him, I can visualize you all together and it makes for a lovely picture in my mind.
