ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem, from your posts, that the Covid-19 issues have hit your life or work. I imagine given the nature of hospice work you guys are taking precautions with visitors, and for yourselves. You would be at highest danger here with that job. As you know, I'm wintering in Seattle, the epicenter of the virus here. The stores are out of any sanitary/wipes/medical alcohol/gloves....it's rather like what the plague would have been like if they had internet.
ReplyDeleteI have a rather high chance, as everyone does here, of being exposed to it. Italy's docs are distressed about deciding who lives and who dies.
It's called triage. I did it Vietnam over 50 years ago. I'm now 74, and if infected, with severe symptoms, I'd hope they treated a 45 year old with same symptoms before me. Triage.

ReplyDeleteWe are self employed caterers and all our corporate lunches have now been cancelled. We are lucky in that we have been down sizing towards retirement so we are okay. We are debt free with a bit saved and will ride it out but we really feel for businesses where that isn't the case. It is very odd suddenly having no work at all. I guess it's a sort of practise at retirement for us. It is all very strange.
