I LOVE it. Great choice, the colour suits the room perfectly. What a pretty home you have. I live in a very small flat in a big concrete jungle, what I wouldn't give to be sitting in your sunny garden stroking a bulldog :) You have a lovely voice and should definitely do more vlogging. Take care.

  38. Nice color, my hubs painted our livingroom that color while I was at hospital with baby number two, 18+ years ago! It was such a lovely surprise. It's blue stripes now. It is lovely to hear your voice and the birds, and see the dogs enjoying spring! Our snow is still melting, days are still chilly, nights are below freezing.

  42. What you call 'yellow' looks very close to the 'buttermilk' I had my walls painted with when I had my own flat, 30+ years ago. But whatever it is it's very comforting, a colour on can pleasantly live with.

  43. I have a yellow living room too, it always looks sunny so a good choice

you boomers are shutting down the entire economy because you're afraid of a flu. Seriously, can you boomers kill yourselves? You are the most selfish generation to ever exist. You don't give a shit about climate change, why should we young people give a shit if you get sick and die of some virus? I HOPE the virus gets much stronger and kills you all.

Do you boomers realize how universally hated you are? There is not one single demographic that does not hate you- white people, black people, asians, mexicans, indians, chinese, millennials, GenX, GenZ. Something tells me that you boomers are not going to have a very comfortable or easy retirement, especially once you end up in the retirement homes.

Can you baby boomers hurry up and fucking drop dead? Enjoy your retirement homes cause we younger people will not take care of you even if we wanted to, due to the shitty economy you boomers created. Do you boomers realize that the younger generation is simply waiting for you to fucking drop dead?

You are all going to end up in retirement homes and we all know that the elderly gets treated pretty badly in retirement homes. Well, that's what you get for ruining your own children's lives. Even if your children WANTED to take care of you, they couldn't, due to you boomers destroying the economy. So I hope you enjoy the retirement homes, boomer scum!

A lovely shade of yellow, John - it must feel quite uplifting when you return home after a hard shift to have such a welcoming room. Lots of different moods can be achieved with careful lighting, so have a nice time browsing different lights and lamps etc on the web. Even if you cannot currently hit the shops for a 'mooch' you can dream and plan.

What a lovely shade of yellow paint you chose! Last night I thought of you coming downstairs this morning to be greeted by sunshine and your delightful yellow sitting room in it's glory. Surely that pleased you right down to your toes.

It was wonderful to hear your deep, rich voice as you showed us around.

Dorothy and Winnie seemed quiet happy on the warm pavers.

Oh, and I like your tee shirt!

    Stay safe everybody.

  54. At the beginning of this year I decided to cover the old manolia with yellow paint 'cos I fancied a nice cheerful, sunshine-y room. But the colour was rather stronger than it was on the paint chart . . . I wish I had selected that much more subtle Vanilla Yellow that you have there. Never mind, it's still nice and yellow - I need sunglasses though! Job well done, John.

  63. Soft yellow on a wall is one of my favourites too. Yours looks very welcoming. I just wanted to sit in the armchair and take in the view. Your artwork is so very well put together, you have a good eye for interior design; maybe a money making sideline? Lovely Dottie adoringly looking at you for instruction but always looks a bit bewildered to my mind. Beautiful day you were having, it's not bad here... so so quiet however, which is very eerie. Love the vlog; you should do a reading vlog and use it in the hospice. Very nice calm voice.
