Thank fuck for lisa Tarbuck
The BBC radio 2 presenter
Had me laughing out loud tonight
As I was battling the weather to get to work
She was chatting about the Alexa wifi accessory and in a fit of the giggles
Yelled out onto the airways
"ALEXA!!!!!!! RING THE POLICE!!!!!"
LOL! Hope you are having a lovely day John!
ReplyDeleteShe was great in Watching.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many police stations received fake calls????
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, absolutely brilliant.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good time for unexpected hilarity!! Hope you were still chuckling when you got to work.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
My daughter has an Alexa and I do not believe that it has the capability of making a telephone call. No wonder Lisa Tarbuck's surname rhymes with the second word of this blogpost.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her ....... I used to live her on the Big Breakfast .... SO funny. Her Dad was at the New Years Eve party that we went to and he was pretty funny as well. XXXX
ReplyDeleteMy stepson thought it would be hilarious to leave an Alexa-like contraption in my basement and have it start making loud horror-movie-monster sounds in the middle of the night when I'm here alone. NOT! I'd die of a heart attack for sure. -Kate
ReplyDeleteShe was known to us from various tv shows one time. R remembers her father Jimmy, who I think was a comedian.
ReplyDeleteLaughter helps
ReplyDeleteHer name is LIZA TARBUCK. Just saying 😉
ReplyDeleteShe looks like her Dad in that photo. Hope you’re having an OK shift, John.
ReplyDeleteThe apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I used to love her dad's humour :)

Alexa failed to understand my directions, frustrated,I said "Oh for Christ's sake." She responded, "sorry I am unable to find that song."
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was also listening and having hysterics to this. I read this post to her and like you she loves her show, particularly the squeeky toy shout outs. Janx
ReplyDeleteIt's a brilliant show isn't it, I've not heard it for a while though. I just forget to put the radio on when I'm not at the Van.
