Floods

I was feeling somewhat hard done to today when I researched that I do indeed owe the tax department £1200 £ !
It's been pissing down all day too today!
Then a few friends started texting from my old home town in Sheffield that many places in the city was flooding.
One, who is a bit of a wag text me this photo of the deluge

I miss the city and it's Northern humour today

  3. Presumably your tax code will be changed and it will be collected gradually via PAYE?

Killer whales are as scary as that tax amount. YIKES! As Rachel said, hope it can be paid in increments.

    Hugs!

  6. Ouch! Do they have an instalment plan to help ease the pain? Maybe it would be worth getting advice or future tax returns done by an accountant if you're not already doing so. Taxes in Canada are getting so complex only the simplest returns can be done by the average person.

  8. Gah!... Bad luck on the tax amount... it certainly makes my heart flutter faster. At the very least you will be able to pay it back bit by bit ... but very scary thing to come in the mail.

Sorry you are having crap weather... our weather has gone from being a cold spring to almost a full blown summer... very early to be so hot. Too hot for me.

  9. Darn. That’s a lot for taxes. Hopefully they don’t ask you to do one payment only.
And that photo is way too funny!

  12. Yes, I've been hearing about Sheffield on the news. I always feel so sorry for people whose homes are flooded.

  13. The tax man did the same to my hubby, the year he retired, after he finished work he got a bill for £17,000.
Hope your friends in Sheffield are safe from the rising water.

  14. Is that an orca in the picture? I haven't seen any of them but I saw a submarine in Endcliffe Park and a shoal of mackerel at Meadowhall.

  15. The images from Sheffield are unbelievable (but not as much as the orca shot).
