    2. I agree ... when you sound like that, John, you have to have chicken soup! And ... make ginger tea using fresh ginger if you can but a teabag will do, as well!
Tend to yourself first, your patients later!

Bless your heart and other parts! It's no fun to be full of cold so as others have suggested, soup, hot toddy, stay warm, and sleep. Hope you are well stocked with kleenex and perhaps a helpful pill for what ails you.

    Germ-free hugs!

  16. I just read recently that the rhino viruses, also known as the common cold, do not pass between species, so Dottie is likely not responsible (and likely won't catch what you have.) Take care and get well soon.

  21. Poor soul, hope the gin etc helps. Definitely recommend chicken soup but you need to make it when you're well and stash it in the freezer. Being ill when you're on your own truly sucks so a bit of forward planning is required xxx

  22. Take care of yourself and get well soon. (Glad your snogee is OK, just sorry you're not)xx

  25. Oh dear you sound terrible hope you manage to get some sleep and that you will feel a bit better tomorrow.

  26. Liquids and pain relievers are needed, yes, but don't forget to rest, rest, and rest some more. That's just as important. I'm sorry you have to miss work (and pay) - that's hard when you are the breadwinner. I also know your patients and their families will want to hug you (when you're better) for keeping your germs away from the care centre!

    ReplyDelete
  27. P. S. hoping you have a speedy recovery!

  28. Oh, you poor wee thing. Hot whisky toddies work wonders! Hope you're on the mend soon x

  32. When you feel so bad as this I really think you should just take a break and not feel that you need to force your poorly self to blog. We can surely go a day or so... That being said, hope you feel much better tomorrow.
