An Observation not a complaint

A much needed bucket of coffee this morning

I worked late last night and got home well after nine pm.
Busy is busy does.
I have today off and back to work tomorrow
It seemed that admissions were comming out of thin air!
I'm not complaining
But my muscles can feel their 12 hour usage.
Luckily I was working with another new nurse my age who said that she was feeling the burn too
We compared aches between us like two old ladies in a doctor's waiting room.

I am off today
I've just got enough time to clean the cottage, wash my clothes , meet a friend for coffee and have some quality Winnie time before getting ready for work again.
There's a wine tasting night at the hall tonight too....I think I'll give that a miss

Trendy Carol will collect the dogs tomorrow instead of the sexy bearded dog walker.
She's now starting to wear autumnal colours!
It feels as though summer is officially over

About your sore feet yesterday - have you tried Hotter shoes? Brilliant for someone on their feet all day, comfy from first wearing. My daughter is a nurse and says all her team wear them, men and women.
I wear them too. They might seem expensive but last for years.

    2. I have 3 pairs of hotters and I must say they are very comfortable apart from one pair of the gortex walking boots didn't stay as waterproof as long as I would have wished x

Flis - They are really comfortable. I've also got some of the Mist goretex walking boots and they're still waterproof, had them for about 7 or 8 years now and wear them every day for dog walking. Have you told Hotters about yours? I've heard their customer service is very good if you have any complaints.

John - I hope your feet are happy in yours!

    1. I wonder the same thing! I also wish we could have pictures of her outfits. I need some fashion guidance as my wardrobe probably resembles John's more than Carol's.

Nice to note that the season's change can be noted by Trendy Carol's attire.

Good to hear you are washing your clothes. We'll make you a proper gay man yet.

  14. Full time nursing is hard on the body. I feel my age now, especially when all the other nurses are younger than me.

    Enjoy your day off:)

  15. Take care of yourself buddy, you're not 25 anymore.
Summer is definitely over here, we've had four light frosts already and I'm using my comforter with two blankets already.

I hear you about the weary exhaustion of a 12 hour shift and 8 hours off before going back to work isn't enough to feel rested. Still, it's a good atmosphere at work and an easier pace (I hope!).

I second the request to see Trendy Carol's outfits, if she doesn't mind.

That is some big coffee mug!

    Hugs!

  18. No autumn here. The temps are in the 80's at the beach and rise as you move inland. Will Winnies behavior improve it you give him some one on one time?

    2. American actor Walter Brennan had a oft repeated line in his TV series, The Guns of Will Sonnett: "no brag, just fact."

I loved the line. Not a fan of the show.

We had a smallish wildfire close to us but our fabulous fire department jumped on it quick ! It was in a canyon so one one was in danger.
