Sky Watching

Monday nights can be nothing nights
I'm relaxing on the couch reading blogs, watching  long lost family,  and am having a good cry, it's designed to make you cry
I've been messaging  Rachel earlier too  ...she makes me laugh.
Mary has been sat on my knee for an hour and for most of that time  she has been watching the sky through the tiny living room window change from a sweet natured pink to an inky grey
Welsh terriers sit and watch and think
It's the way they are

  2. Yes, Elsie does the same. On the threshold of an open door, summer or winter.

    2. Mine were Cairns, little ratters. Our two were a great mouser team; Fiona cornered them, Angus administered the coup de gras.

Looks like those hooves could do with a bit of pampering.

  6. I watched "Long Lost Family" too. In my opinion, tonight's stories were not as emotionally gripping as some of the programme's stories have been.

  7. That last line could have read, “that’s the way we are.”

  8. There is much to love about Terriers. All of mine are thinkers. As you know I just love them quirks and all.

  11. WT's are such nice dogs, and great companions. My late mother always had them, and never stopped praising them.

  13. Rachel's blog has vanished at the moment and I was worried if she was okay. I am glad to hear that she is here. Mary is such a sweetie.

    2. It's a shame you don't leave us all be Arsula.
It's only a matter of time before you give out one of your nasty hurtful comments and get banned from this blog again.

    3. Pat, do you remember that irritating Michael Winner (RIP) advert? "Calm down dear, it's only a commercial."

Mind you, why my comments do show up twice I do not know.

Thanks for adding some hilarity to my commenting here. I had never thought of myself as an "Ars"usla. Now is a good time as any to reinvent myself.

"Hurtful comments"? Maybe you and your ilk should start looking in your own mirror instead of dishing out potentially "hurtful comments" and leaving me be.

You'll be relieved to know that this is my last piece of "tosh" I'll ever write to you. You may pride yourself on your compassion. You have little (at least for me). I wrote from my heart and you just shit on it. I was in two minds before hitting "send" as opening up myself does and doesn't come easy at the same time. I wish I hadn't [hit send]. You and I are through, "Expert".

And yet here you are again you fecking cow.

    5. Sheri, hi. I hope you do realize that calling me a "fecking cow" does reflect on you in a less than mooing way.

      Charmed, I am sure,

  18. Scottie's as you know, sit and do that same kind of looking into the distance and are seemingly so deep in thought. I have wondered what Todd is thinking about -- is he solving the problems of the universe, remembering past fun and adventures, or is he simply thinking about his next meal?

Does Mary lick your face when you cry? Our beloved Basset hound, Daisy, did that. She could also count to four and checked to make sure we were all home by dark. You and Mary look so cozy. :)

Remember the song with the words "Monday, Monday, can't trust that day ..."?

    Hugs!

  20. Suky lies with her nose pressed into the carpet, eyes peering upwards at any potential clue to food arriving. She also lies watching television snoring, waiting for any animal or bird to appear on the screen that she should bark at 🤣🤣
