Almost

I bought a box of chocolate eclairs for the support workers at the Care home this morning
And promptly sat on them when I got back in the car.

It's been that sort of day.

I've said this before but I do feel that I am existing in limbo land at the moment.
I have just six shifts to complete at the home and I'm still waiting for a start date at the hospice.
That start date is subject to health checks and one outstanding reference.
Once I start at the hospice I can then officially apply to take over the cottage mortgage.
Only then, will I know I can stay in Trelawnyd

Like I said ---- limbo land

I sat in Bluebell , sucking cream and chocolate from my fingers.
And thought
I'm almost there.

  2. John, such wonderful news about your home. Limbo-land sucks, but you've got this. I think about and pray for your situation often. I have been there so I know where your head is.

  11. " I bought a box of chocolate eclairs" is so melodic it could be the title of your biography, or a poem or lyrics. Eclairs may be squished but delicious just the same, and life does go on.

  14. It thrills me to know you will - fingers crossed - be able to stay in Trelawnyd. You've dug in and held on and done the hard work to heal and to make your situation better, so give yourself a good pat on the back. This is not luck, it's grit and effort. Good on ya.

  15. Limbo land sucks; it is neither one thing or another. On the other hand it is preparation for what is yet to come which portal you have to pass through in order to get to where you aspire to be. Fingers crossed and toes plaited. Shame about the eclairs though. Take care John xx

  20. I know all about Limbo Land - we have been there all these past years of attempted abortive house-selling, and it's not a good place to linger.

Hoping that everything will work out in your favour so you can take over the mortgage and STAY PUT. There are 6 planets in retrograde right now (apparently) and that means we all have to slow and contemplate and work things out. And grind our teefs in frustration . . .

P.S. The eclairs were meant for you . . .

  21. I was having a tough day, until I walked into a charity shop and found a harris tweed jacket in a design I love, an it fitted me! I walked into the ironmonger and found PROPER MOUSETRAPS! not plastic, not wood, not black painted metal, but proper trad mouse traps, which I have looked for for years. I bought four and told the shopkeeper she had made my day, then I went across to the co-op and bought some food which I was organising at he checkout when I realised one mousetrap box was lighter than the others. I had lifted the display box! I went back to the shop and said, this is a good, day, if itwas abad day, I wouldnt have discovered that till I got home!! Enjoy the squashed eclairs, thats the upside to your day!
I read your posts every day, but dont often comment because I dont like to 'oblige you' to reply! If we could add a simple 'like' I would! Good luck with reference etc, Ive been hoping you could take on the mortgage, but realised you didn't need me to suggest it to you!

I vote for the eclairs to become trifle as Andi suggested. They are certainly not trash!

The folks who work night shifts with you are bound to be sorry you're leaving but it's great for you there are merely 6 more night shifts to go!!

I hope the folks at hospice get a move on so you soon get a firm start date so limbo land evaporates. How exciting that you can apply to take over the cottage mortgage before too long!

The light at the end of the tunnel is in sight and it's not the light of an oncoming train (a possibility that DH occasionally alludes to).

    Hugs!

  47. Like all the others, I am wishing and hoping for you that all will be satisfactorily settled soon and a line drawn in the sand under uncertainty and worry.
