London

I'm home after two days of London in the sun
i could have stayed longer
When I got home and eventually settled
Mary, Winnie and Albert climbed onto the couch together with me in a mass of fur, scratching and in Winnie's case farting.
Now we are only 4

  11. So nice that you have people that you're comfortable leaving your pets with! That's a huge issue.

  12. Numbers dwindling in a home the way it's been happening at your place can tear a person down, John, having shared each heartache with you from afar, I also share the gratitude and comfort you feel when the four of you are together now.

Not all that long ago my journey held much of what yours has these last 15 months or so. There really are warm bright days ahead after such dark stormy times. May you take in each
    good feeling moment and
also each change for the better
    as they come along,
and see them as a promise ... for happiness on a regular basis in the not distant future.
Sending hugs to each of you, -Mary

  13. You have had too much loss in a short space of time. Each one takes its toll. I hope this is it for a good long while. Glad you got away and had a good time.

  14. Are you considering a move to London after selling the cottage? I loved living in town; I spent about 4 years there. My youngest is moving there very soon.

Welcome home! I know the crew is happy to see you and have you back where you belong.

4 week's notice? I've never worked anywhere that required more than 2 week's notice before employees left for greener pastures - and we were all nurses, too.

    Hugs!

    1. It's usual in uk for nurses to have to have to give 2 months notice and for senior nurses it's three months!
