I'm home after two days of London in the sun
i could have stayed longer
When I got home and eventually settled
Mary, Winnie and Albert climbed onto the couch together with me in a mass of fur, scratching and in Winnie's case farting.
Now we are only 4
I am so glad you had the break.
ReplyDeleteMe too......I have to buy the boffins mum some flowers , she helped with the dog sitting!
DeleteIt is wonderful that you had a special trip before you start your new job.
ReplyDeleteLol watch this space
DeleteWho's the ghost sitting on the bed in the picture ? lol x
ReplyDeleteIt's a Filipino woman crowding in front of me as I took the photo
Deleteit's nice to have a break before you dive back in. glad you had fun, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best for tomorrow. It' so exciting and I am certain you will be entirely suited to this job- and much loved. Nobody deserves it more.
ReplyDeleteThe four of you are perfect together, a lovely little family,
I'm not starting work tomorrow! I've got to give a month's notice first xx
Deleteawwwwww sweet little family.
ReplyDeleteparsnip
Ah but what a foursome. Absent loved ones still very much in your heart and so it should be. Gad you had time out. Take care John xx
ReplyDeleteWinnie must have heard Queen Mary's Hooter and is adding to the symphony.
ReplyDeleteIt resonated
DeleteI'm sure they're all happy that you're home again.
ReplyDeleteyour furkids missed you! hope it was a great concert!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you have people that you're comfortable leaving your pets with! That's a huge issue.
ReplyDeleteNumbers dwindling in a home the way it's been happening at your place can tear a person down, John, having shared each heartache with you from afar, I also share the gratitude and comfort you feel when the four of you are together now.
ReplyDeleteNot all that long ago my journey held much of what yours has these last 15 months or so. There really are warm bright days ahead after such dark stormy times. May you take in each
good feeling moment and
also each change for the better
as they come along,
and see them as a promise ... for happiness on a regular basis in the not distant future.
Sending hugs to each of you, -Mary
You have had too much loss in a short space of time. Each one takes its toll. I hope this is it for a good long while. Glad you got away and had a good time.
ReplyDeleteAre you considering a move to London after selling the cottage? I loved living in town; I spent about 4 years there. My youngest is moving there very soon.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! I know the crew is happy to see you and have you back where you belong.
ReplyDelete4 week's notice? I've never worked anywhere that required more than 2 week's notice before employees left for greener pastures - and we were all nurses, too.
Hugs!
It's usual in uk for nurses to have to have to give 2 months notice and for senior nurses it's three months!
DeletePets always give such a loving welcome when you get home.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got to have a visit and I am so sorry about lovely little George. Big hugs to you and scrtiches for the fur babies.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the new job.
Still, a house (um, sofa) filled with love. What a great London photo. That Filipino woman always crowds my shots, too.
ReplyDeleteits good to be home and welcomed xx
ReplyDeleteIt's hard being suddenly in a smaller family isn't it. It all feels uncomfortably easy 😥
