Hmmm spring cleaning the same as sex....you put it off for as long as you can but feel better when it is done? You know you should do it more often?.....nope this one is eluding me.
"First" valuation is a bit confusing - didn't you have it valued not long ago and it was up for sale? I thought you said you were able to stay there after all? Not prying but just confused. I hope all goes well.
What has to be has to be, John. After divorce, I had to downsize to a small flat but I have learned to be very happy there. You will still have your family, friends and animals no matter what. Best of luck, old thing, and best wishes for happier times to come.
I don't know how you do it but you made me feel both happy and sad in the space of three sentences. Perhaps that's just life in a nutshell. All the best in both endeavours, my friend.
Even if you replace the carpets, about 2000 people worldwide know what went on, and scandal like that spreads faster than a map of Australia on the under sheet of an estate agent.
Well.... I’m floundering here! I’d hope they’re alike because both leave you exhausted and feeling pleased .... or because they happen all too rarely?..
Hope the valuation goes the way you want it. Hugs.
For pity’s sake...don’t make it look good, let the animals shed hair, puke and pee, the lower the valuation, the more likely you can buy out...although the more you get, the more you’ll have to buy another abode aaaarrrgh, why is life so complicated
Hope it all goes well for you John. Must be such a hard time with the thought of possibly having to sell your beautiful cottage. It looks amazing, so spick and span.
I'll be thinking of you dearheart. x

ReplyDeleteSending best wishes
I almost misread the first line as you'd removed an entry about a one in a bed romp!
ReplyDeleteI understand the reasons but really hoping - along with all your other readers, that you're not forced to sell up John.
Not forced P xx
ReplyDeleteMopping the floor as foreplay, have to remember that, maybe I'll do it more often.
ReplyDelete"Same subject really" -- hahahahaha, get rid of those cobwebs!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed you get a good valuation. The new gorgeous kitchen should help boost the figures.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. Xx
Oh yes I agree ... Spring Cleaning is a LOT like sex 😉🙃🤣
Good luck with the valuation and I hope that everything turns out OK for you x
ReplyDeleteWhat a homey, lovely photo of your cottage. I join with the others in hoping you get a sky-high valuation but that you won't have to sell.
ReplyDeleteHappy Earth Day and happy 47th anniversary to us. :)
Hugs!
It will scrub up nicely as do you. :)
ReplyDeleteSame subject really? That sounds kinky.
ReplyDeleteBittersweet.x
ReplyDeleteDoes the valuation need to be high or low?

ReplyDeleteIs Spring cleaning like sex because you do it in the nip??? Saucy !! Hope it goes well and you get the outcome you want x
ReplyDeleteI am not in your shoes but selling your home and leaving a place you are loved is the saddest news you have ever shared.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you do it but you made me feel both happy and sad in the space of three sentences. Perhaps that's just life in a nutshell. All the best in both endeavours, my friend.
ReplyDeletesex is the same as cleaning? OH HELL NO! I like sex, I hate cleaning.
ReplyDeleteann marie ... I just love your comments !
DeleteYou make me smile.
cheers, parsnip
I hope you didn't have sex on the carpet of your cottage. That knocks thousands off the asking price.
ReplyDeleteEven if you replace the carpets, about 2000 people worldwide know what went on, and scandal like that spreads faster than a map of Australia on the under sheet of an estate agent.
DeleteWhatever you say, John, whatever you say.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.

You're just thinking of Freddie Mercury with his hoover.

ReplyDeleteSex, I missed the posting about sex?
ReplyDeleteIt was a good one but perhaps not the best time to post it
DeleteWas it from memory or really fresh??
DeleteWait what?
ReplyDeleteDid I miss something about sex? Was it a sex tape? Was it yours? I have questions...
The cottage looks adorable, though..
XOXO
Good luck with it all tomorrow. I have never equated sex with cleaning. Ever.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, John. May all the elbow grease and sunshine do you proud.
ReplyDeleteIf my memory serves me correct, I never mistook spring cleaning for sex, although I do like clean sheets.
ReplyDeleteMay all go well. x
ReplyDeleteTell them you want £4 million, and won't accept a penny less. You should, then, be secure for a while.
ReplyDeleteOf all the times for Albert to yak up half a rabbit on the stoop, this is it.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the cleaning and valuation...you have a lovely place there..and hope you get somewhere new in or near the village
ReplyDeleteHope it all goes well for you John. Must be such a hard time with the thought of possibly having to sell your beautiful cottage. It looks amazing, so spick and span.
ReplyDeleteWill be fine x
DeleteHope it goes well. Fingers and toes crossed.
