Never Steal A Cat's meatball

I went out for lunch with some friends then to an afternoon showing of  Tennesee Williams' Orpheus Descending. Afterwards I bought each of the animals a Swedish meatball from the garage shop as a treat.
Winnie got all hysterical over the  " prize giving" and in her jealous excitement knocked Albert off his feet ,  stealing his ball from right out of his mouth.
The cat lost it BIG time.
Claws were brought into play and the big girl had to leg it, quicksticks as Albert wailed his best wail then effectively  boxed the living shit out of her

This photo was taken ten minutes later

  1. Sometimes it's good to let off steam.

What is funny about your photo - and so true to life - that Albert is all relaxed and asleep whilst Winnie is trying to retrace all the wrong steps she took (albeit with a full tummy).

  4. I wish McKenna would whip out her claws a little more readily when Maddie gets overexcited. A couple slashes on the nose would advance her training exponentially. But I suspect she has a soft spot for dogs.

  5. iwinson is jealous of treat time with Agatha. the mouths get so close sometimes I have to be sure where the cookie is going.
Agatha is getting better and is understanding (a little) that they both get a treat. 4 years with a dog hoarder has been hard on her. But she is slowly learning, iwinston somewhat.

    cheers, parsnip

  6. We used to have an elderly, bow legged Siamese cat, who woukd tolerate our Jack Russell tormenting her just so long. Then she would simply latch onto the poor dog's nose with her claws and hang on in there. The dog NEVER learned and had a very scarred nose to prove it

  7. I had heard that Swedish balls can have a drastic effect on a girl.

Cats are so clever!. My cat butchie born same week i was ,grew up with me. was so protective. Followed me to primary and high school every day, knew where i would be in school at the end of the day, sat on the window sill at school n meowed loudly until i was allowed out!. I often was allowed out early. He then would walk 2 paces in frount of me guiding me home!. Loved that cat we were never apart!. Slept around my neck . He followed me everywhere!. When i got a job in an italian ice cream shop in the town as a child they had to let butchie in on a blanket on an old chair or he would scream!. Adored him!. X jacx

  18. Don't ever mess with a cat. Winnie obviously survived.

  19. The irony being that cats claim any and all tasty things for their own. No wonder Albert was so pissed off.

  21. Woe betide anyone who crosses a pussycat, as we know from experience. Forgiveness is not in their vocabulary and they certainly know how to bear grudges. Hope Winnie has learnt her lesson, though I doubt it.'

I saw 'Orpheus Descending' in 1988 at London's Haymarket Theatre with Vanessa Redgrave and that then hottie Jean-Marc Barr (of whom whatever happened to?) - later filmed for TV with Redgrave and that then hottie Kevin Anderson (of whom whatever happened to?). Not the easiest of Williams' plays to get a handle on, nor one of his best in my opinion, though it has its champions. I hope the production you saw made it worthwhile.
