It's a textured painting too!
My elder Sister and I went to a sort of workshop on painting with acrylics this afternoon
I just sat there like a Chimpanzee with a brush and trowel and bashed away in silence
I quite enjoyed playing.
My sister brought me a scotch egg to have at tea break
Nice color play, and it is fun, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWell, if that's your finished product (as opposed to a stock photo) I do love the colours. It's good to try new stuff. The process alone is worth it, and one never knows where it might lead.
ReplyDeleteIt's mine. Lol
DeleteI quite like it,too.
ReplyDeleteI recall a painting being sold for over $700 some years back that was actually painted by a chimpanzee with a brush. So who knows.
ReplyDeleteI would stick to gardening with the trowel.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the process was enjoyed...
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice. I think portraits are out of your league right now, though Winnie would be a good study.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness!!! The little thumbnail picture in my reader... I couldn't make it out....thank goodness it wasn't a skid mark.
ReplyDeleteI'd call it art. Sounds like a fun afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI think it is really good, bold and colourful. You might have discovered a hidden talent.
ReplyDeleteThose elephant-made paintings go for quite a bit, so I'd think your chimpanzee art should be worth something. At least a second Scotch egg, for sure.

DeleteLooks like art to me. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is .. "Stick to what your good at Mr Gray"..lol xxx
ReplyDeleteHave you given it a pretentious title; that's the next task!
ReplyDelete'untitled 23'
DeleteIf it's done with heart, it's art! I quite like it, too, as the colors and pattern are pleasing.
ReplyDeleteNice sister to come to play and paint with you - and to bring you the Scotch egg.
Hugs!
Oh, Cro's comment reminded me of a cloth on which my Dad cleaned many, many paint brushes. He flattened the cloth one day and labeled it "Soul of a Dying Fish". Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI feel a competition coming up... Name the painting!
ReplyDeleteWish someone had given me a scotch egg during my art class. It was dire.
ReplyDeleteIf you enjoyed the day then really that's all that matters but I do love the colours and I have synesthesia.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your weekend with Nu it's the tonic you need and where there is tonic there could be gin. I am sorry for poor Mary with her troublesome ear I send her a cuddle.
Your sister is a treasure....and I like the 'not art'. x
ReplyDeleteAh John but it is Art as it is created from your soul. Crafting of any sort is very therapeutic. Love the colours x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good afternoon out with your sister. I think even Michelangelos 1st attempt was a bit basic too.
ReplyDeleteMore John Bollocks than Jackson Pollock, but still quite pleasing to view. Maybe you are a talented ape?

ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteBet it was fun to create, too. Hey, who knows and you've found yourself a new hobby?
XOXO
How good for your sister to be looking after you and taking you to a painting class.
ReplyDeleteWho says it's not art? Art is subjective. Put it in a frame and hang on the wall and then you have some wall art. :)
ReplyDeleteI like it. You have a hidden talent for modern art!
ReplyDeleteI love it ♥️
ReplyDeleteIt's you, on canvas. Hurting at the moment, with dashes of clarity breaking through and sunshine snapping at your heels as it catches up with you and illuminates your life.
This is right on. Red indicates lots of passion.
DeleteWell, yes, it IS art!
ReplyDeleteAbstract expressionist!
ReplyDeleteI could happily live with that on my wall, John -the colours are absolutely lovely and I agree with Mitchell above - it is definitely art - don't do yourself down.
ReplyDeleteHave I missed a post about Winnie and her hysterectomy?
ReplyDeleteIt was a while ago when she had pyrometra
Deleteit IS art!
ReplyDeleteIt's the process that's important sounds like a fun afternoon.
