Some days, it's important to simply be grateful for that. I once bought Jerry a post-it note pad entitled: "Things to Do Today." There were two items on the check-boxed list. 1. Breathe in. 2. Breathe out.
It's also interesting to note that the CO2 receptors can get 'burned out' by continually high levels of PaCO2, and the brain turns to O2 receptors to stimulate breathing. This occurs in COPD mostly.
Great advice! Since I don't have your email I'll ask you here. Would you consider letting me reprint on my blog one of your earlier posts which affected me personally? Of course I'd give you proper credit and links. Hit me up at tomsightings@gmail and we can discuss further? Many thanks!
Yes, that's about all I did, so thank you for the okay. There's so much shit between a rock and a hard place. Sometimes we need to just breathe and wait for the next day.
No it isn't.
ReplyDeleteI regularly manage little more than that and I'm perfectly happy with it. I hope you're ok.
ReplyDeleteSaid nobody to an halitosis sufferer
ReplyDeleteAmen. Some days that is more than enough and harder than a lot of people can imagine.
ReplyDeleteIt means we're still alive!
ReplyDeleteI believe is was a nearly universal sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSometimes that about all one can manage.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
I must be an over achiever, breathe, yes and sat in the autumn sun with the cat who only breathes when he hears a can opener.
ReplyDeleteIt was hot here, so I mowed, and mowed, and mowed some more. Plenty of time for breathing.
ReplyDeleteI had a nap too. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteBreathing is good, and sometimes just to stay breathing can be harder than anything.

First things first...
ReplyDeleteI think John Lennon said just being and breathing is enough. Wise words
ReplyDeleteYou sound like my mindfulness teacher John... ‘Be aware of your breath!’

It’s ok to not be ok for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI think it is OK.
ReplyDeleteBe gentle with your breathing, and wait for the sun to rise again. Hugs John.

Indeed. It’s the weekend, after all.
ReplyDeleteXoXo
Probably a good idea to eat and drink as well as breathe.
ReplyDeleteBreathe and swallow the painkillers. Sometimes, that is my day. Hope tomorrow will be better.
ReplyDeleteYou just have to give yourself permission instead of being on a spin wheel all the time. Good on you!
ReplyDeleteTake it easy, when you can.

ReplyDeleteI will do when I wake up.
ReplyDeleteBreathe and be aware ; some days that’s the most I can do and that’s just fine . Hope you are alright xxx
ReplyDeleteYou never know...
ReplyDeleteThe CO2 receptors in your brain agree, as do the diaphragm, intercostal and secondary muscles of respiration.

ReplyDeleteExcellent and sensible advice. Love the picture, too.
ReplyDeleteTwo nights down and one to go?
Hugs!
I agree!
ReplyDeleteAh.🙂
ReplyDeleteHey....it's a good start, and an essential one.
ReplyDeleteThe world could take this advice seriously.....even for a second.
I agree completely. Although at the moment I am even struggling with that ... totally 'bunged up' with a cold 🤧
ReplyDeleteGreetings from San Francisco, hope you make it through your night shift and then home to a cozy warm bed.
ReplyDeleteThank you. xoxo
