Wednesday's Postcards

Cake heals the soul
Thats what I think .
I'm sat in a cafe just outside the village after seeing a friend.
Im waiting for my sister in law to now arrive.
Ive bought take out cake for Sailor John and Mandy who live next door
Difficult times means cake
cake, like I said, heals the soul

The staff will think I'm either conducting interviews or am a serial philanderer
More postcards today......the deadline is still Saturday and over 500 have arrived
enjoy

hummmmmmm!!!!!

  2. Beautiful cards today. I love the avocets and the Wales - colourful houses. The last one is pretty too. I wouldn't want your job of judging them. Cake is always a good idea!

  3. I have been enjoying all the great cards. It will be so hard to chose. I have been collecting cards for over 50 years, but when it came time to send you one, I had none from my current province of residence. It sent me on a mission in the depths of a northern Canadian winter, and I met a few very nice people who sent me on the hunt to find postcards. It got me out of the house and out of my head for a bit. Cake would be wonderful as well. Take care. Barb

  4. Your poor postman must have developed muscles....or a sore back/arms.

  8. If you have to move you can come and live with me in Canada. Our little mill town is in desperate need of skilled nurses, charming sea view mill cottages sell for 250,000 Canadian dollars, dogs are considered as important as humans, wonderful walks all around, well established gay community, place is packed with goodhearted, march to the beat of their own drum folks. I will email you our address. Consider this a plan B, because of course I would love you to stay where you want.

Cake, pie, or cookies make any day much, much better!

I don't envy you the task of choosing winners from this dazzling array of postcards! There are so many winners IMHO.

  11. I agree about the cake (sugar) and am reminded of a slogan I once read on a note pad … "Things are getting worse. Send chocolate". P.S. How'd you like Walking Dead? I'm not watching because it's Michonne last season and I can't handle the loss of yet another loved character.

    2. Rosita, I can handle, but not Michonne, so I'm out. I'll be watching for your updates, however, to learn how Negan turns out,

  14. Another great selection of cards. Can I pass on the cake and have a cheese scone please?, I have a few ailments these days and somehow my sweet tooth has upped and left, not so great for someone who loves baking, also since I am now unable to go walking for any great distance a pleasure has been tea and cake as OH an I explore out beautiful island. Oh well could be worse I guess. Alison from Shropshire. x

Hi Rachel,if you are talking about the two wading birds, Admittedly they are the same birds but it is a different shot of them (I assume from the same series). I wondered if anybody would notice that.
