Cake heals the soul
Thats what I think .
I'm sat in a cafe just outside the village after seeing a friend.
Im waiting for my sister in law to now arrive.
Ive bought take out cake for Sailor John and Mandy who live next door
Difficult times means cake
cake, like I said, heals the soul
The staff will think I'm either conducting interviews or am a serial philanderer
More postcards today......the deadline is still Saturday and over 500 have arrived
enjoy
hummmmmmm!!!!!
SO many great cards!! I don't want to be you choosing the 'best' ones!!
ReplyDeleteCake is a good idea today.....gotta find me some!
Beautiful cards today. I love the avocets and the Wales - colourful houses. The last one is pretty too. I wouldn't want your job of judging them. Cake is always a good idea!
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying all the great cards. It will be so hard to chose. I have been collecting cards for over 50 years, but when it came time to send you one, I had none from my current province of residence. It sent me on a mission in the depths of a northern Canadian winter, and I met a few very nice people who sent me on the hunt to find postcards. It got me out of the house and out of my head for a bit. Cake would be wonderful as well. Take care. Barb
ReplyDeleteYour poor postman must have developed muscles....or a sore back/arms.
ReplyDeleteI've just made a banana and cinnamon cake. Pity you're not here, John xx
A cake recipe on my blog post today
ReplyDeleteRather you than me choosing winners, they've been some interesting cards.
Yi read it dearheart
DeleteWonderful cards; they are all winners, as are you. Glad mine made it there on time.
ReplyDeletei love the matador card! i'm delivering valentine's day cookie platters to all my friends tomorrow. it seems that cookies heal the soul too.
ReplyDeleteIf you have to move you can come and live with me in Canada. Our little mill town is in desperate need of skilled nurses, charming sea view mill cottages sell for 250,000 Canadian dollars, dogs are considered as important as humans, wonderful walks all around, well established gay community, place is packed with goodhearted, march to the beat of their own drum folks. I will email you our address. Consider this a plan B, because of course I would love you to stay where you want.
ReplyDeleteSusan I may not have enough money to buy a cottage there but it's athought xxxxx
DeleteI hope I can stay here, but you tempt me
DeleteCake, pie, or cookies make any day much, much better!
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you the task of choosing winners from this dazzling array of postcards! There are so many winners IMHO.
Hugs!
Great cards! The only one I recognize is the angry baby from Oslo, Norway.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a statue of our POTUS.
DeleteMe too, the first thing I thought was there's Trump!
DeleteI agree about the cake (sugar) and am reminded of a slogan I once read on a note pad … "Things are getting worse. Send chocolate". P.S. How'd you like Walking Dead? I'm not watching because it's Michonne last season and I can't handle the loss of yet another loved character.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the first episode but I sense Rosita has been earmarked for the next death
DeleteRosita, I can handle, but not Michonne, so I'm out. I'll be watching for your updates, however, to learn how Negan turns out,
DeleteI agree about the cake especially if someone else has made it for you. Another innovative group of cards! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the postcards. I sent you one today, which is a bit late, since I´m in Sweden. I hope you´ll have mercy on a few stragglers...
ReplyDeleteMaria
Maria I will also give any stragglers a separate class of their own. They will judged in two weeks time
DeleteYay! :-)
DeleteMaria
Another great selection of cards. Can I pass on the cake and have a cheese scone please?, I have a few ailments these days and somehow my sweet tooth has upped and left, not so great for someone who loves baking, also since I am now unable to go walking for any great distance a pleasure has been tea and cake as OH an I explore out beautiful island. Oh well could be worse I guess. Alison from Shropshire. x
ReplyDeleteA double has arrived. Your first.
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel,if you are talking about the two wading birds, Admittedly they are the same birds but it is a different shot of them (I assume from the same series). I wondered if anybody would notice that.
DeleteNo, I was not talking about that one.
DeleteThe Malaga card get's my vote for the sexiest.
ReplyDeleteThat Bates Motel sounds like a pretty nice place to stay!
ReplyDeleteHope my card made it. I am just catching up.
ReplyDeleteI've photographed each one
DeleteEvery one of 500
You are a saint!

DeleteCake does indeed heal the soul - especially Battenburg cake.
ReplyDeleteCarbs of any kind heal the soul. That's just science! hah
ReplyDeleteIs that your postman on the horse? I'll be sorry to see the end of this competition. All the cards have been so wonderful.
Yes it's been rather a blast Jenny o
DeleteThere are so many winners, I'm glad I don't have to choose one.
ReplyDeleteI'm showing the three finalists from each class on Saturday
DeleteI'd give that Toreador one, and I'm not even that way inclined.
ReplyDeleteThe Toreador may be female (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_bullfighters)
DeleteLovely arse whoever owns it
DeleteThe one wrapped in the granny afghan looks a lot like Tom Baker of Dr. Who fame.
ReplyDeleteTitter
DeleteI believe that's Anthony Perkins at the Bates Motel in the movie Psycho, 1960. Probably before everyone's time!
ReplyDeleteAnother great batch of cards - how are you ever going to name a winner!!
There are around 10 categories
DeleteI still owe you cake. Just let me know when you want to ram it down your gullet ;)
ReplyDeleteLol you are on
DeleteI click on your blog and you remind me that Cake Is Good minutes after amazon tells me a cake cookbook I've had my eye on is marked down. Is this a hint from the cosmos?
ReplyDeleteI love cake. Glad you're back x
ReplyDeleteI was never going to be gone for long
DeleteYes, good thing you have so many prize categories. But the thank you notes, oh my!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately with the best will in the world I won't be able to reply to all of the cards , ( I have replied to around 40 ) xxx
DeleteLove the sheep and the red trousers, cake is good, eat the sweets first.
ReplyDeleteThe postcard with pictures of your animals (or similar ones) and the Scotch eggs is wonderful. That took effort and I am sure it was made with love.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful for every one dearheart xx
