I ve been on a set of nights and will be back blogging tomorrow.
Last week was a particularly difficult week emotionally
But its choir tonight and I'm catching up with The Walking Dead with a scotch egg supper later so I'm not thinking of what will or could be in my future
Again the final push for the competition continues
I thought initially that I would receive , say 80 postcards
The total entered at the moment is 471!!

I have just posted mine ( first class) , the stamp....not the postcard :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope, like the sloth (an usually pretty depiction or a rather non-pretty animal) you are continuing to 'hang in there' dear John.
ReplyDeleteKeep coming back here even when the postcards don't!
Warm hugs - Mary

You are really popular to have received so many cards ♥️
ReplyDeleteThe first scotch egg card looks really 3D. It looks like a real scotch egg sat on a card. Enjoy your scotch egg supper after choir practise.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all of the postcards. 471, Amazing! Hope your scotch egg was delish.
ReplyDeleteJohn I know you were intending to do return postcards but 471! That's a huge burden of your time and will cost a small fortune. Don't worry about a return one for me, putting more stress on you wasn't the point of this.
ReplyDeleteIve posted 40 replies....
DeleteI am unable to post any more. So sorry xxxx
I don't need a reply as well, John.
DeleteNo need to be sorry. Good lord. That's a huge amount of mail $ wise. Just enjoy them. I think in can speak for the majority that we were just delighted to be able to brighten your day. You've brightened mine for years now.
DeleteI am so glad you thought of this idea. It's been fun for all your readers and must certainly have cheered you up enormously. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to overhear what he says when the postman gets home and has his first cuppa after a long day's work!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow! 471 cards! That's amazing. I'm glad so many people have turned out to show you how important you are in their (our) lives. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that card of the kissing Navy men! Definitely my fave of this batch. The Osaka ones are nice, too.
You thought you’d receive only 80? Fat chance. If I did it, I’d receive 4! You are so popular!
ReplyDeleteI would send you one or two !
DeleteGood set of cards again
ReplyDeleteIt has been a brilliant idea. 47,111 postcards is amazing.
ReplyDelete471 cards - whodathunk it? How heartwarming!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Never mind about the future; that'll just stress the hell out of you. Screw it, it's all in our heads anyhow. Right here in the now, you're getting through ... and you will in the future, too. Signed, PepTalk Kate xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteMy first card never arrived but I see my second one did...I put U.K. on it this time..I think the North Wales on the first one threw the US postal system, as we have a town near by called North Wales....bizarre!!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing response to the cards and to how much we love you x take care x

ReplyDeletePlease don’t apologise for not replying to all the cards, John - I had a feeling you would receive tons, and felt a tad concerned about the expense of replying to all - it would have run into the £100s !!!! I’mjust thrilled to have seen mine got there and was photographed... Look after yourself. I do hope your future will soon be more settled. xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou are loved. World wide.
