When I went to the post office, here in NJ, I asked for an international postcard stamp. Nope, we don't do that apparently. They slapped on a $1.15 international stamp and sent it on its way. If mine gets sent back, I say there is a conspiracy with our postal service!!
Having lived many years in a place that experienced almost 70C difference between high and low, I find the British approach to weather amusing. A 4C swing can take one from “chilly” to “balmy” - barmy more like!
I sent mine yesterday and you already got it, that is brilliant (UK post) the horses in the snow very nice, but the postcard "bring on the Lions"the man in the postcard look like you, I had to look twice 😊😊
Loving the variety of postcards you are receiving. I think you should ask the local community hall to host an exhibition of them all for you. You could have a big map of the world and show how many places all these wonderful works of art are from. I bet you love getting your mail just now! x
Fun selection the town I live in is short on smut so my card is the boring kind I will have to do some hunting next time I go out. I like the card that says happy hard to resist love the red and blue sailboats very modern.
Never seen so many wonderful postcards. How on earth would you ever choose a 'winner'. Be interesting to know what you will do with them once your competition is over. They really should be displayed somewhere for everyone to see. Fantastic idea!!
Had a typo so deleted. I love all of them. It is a wonderful testament to you that everyone got pumped up to send postcards. Keep the written word, elegant as well as crude, alive!!
I recognize one of those!
ReplyDeleteMostly. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe first card I sent arrived back yesterday needing another 57 cents postage. I'm waiting for the others to return.
Same for me.
DeleteYou Americans make me smile
DeleteWe are an entertaining bunch aren't we??

My favourite from this batch is the British Weather. So true plus we British do like to discus our weather! Great selection once again.

ReplyDeleteI love the "10% of men are gay" one -- especially since it clearly spent a long time tacked up on someone's bulletin board. :)

ReplyDeleteAn amazing selection of postcards - who knew there was such a variety!
ReplyDeleteAre you refunding the postage for those who don't win?
ReplyDeleteNo, why would I ? But I am in the process of writing a postcard back in reply to every card with a return address on it
DeleteTwo dozen replies this morning
