Choir

Back to choir tonight and it was joyous!
I was sooo glad to be back
We sang a version of the South African Nkosi Sikelel' lAfrica followed by the Welsh lullaby Cysgu di fly mhlentys tiws (Sleep my little Children) both of which are new to us
Choirmaster Jamie ( still sporting his 1940 RAF moustache) informed us that he wants us to sing in a massive community choir get together on the South Bank in London in the Autumn
How wonderful
I'm game .....

  17. So glad you are getting such pleasure from the choir John.
Until twenty years ago I always sang in a choir somewhere and I loved it. Now my hearing is such that I find it difficult to get in on the right note - I am no asset to a choir any more I am afraid.

  18. Pencilled in. Perhaps a 'John the dogs' badge could be issued so your followers in the audience can identify each other. :D xx

    1. Marvellous idea. Or we could all wear Winnie masks to easily identify each other in the crowd and then ambush John in his "dressing" room. Can you imagine what a great impromptu party that would be? Bet there'd be a few surprises among his blogging friends. Says she, with a Cheshire cat grin.

  27. That South African National Anthem is a wonderful, soul-lifting piece of music. I used to follow the Cornish Loveny MV Choir who sang an Africal trilogy. I'm word perfect if you need an alto voice . . .
