Arrived in London a way past midday
Met Nu for a long lunch at the very nice
Granary Square Brasserie
Lovely food,
Two bloody Mary's
Lots of laughs ,
Lots of tears
I'm back on the train home now and it's 4.30
How mad is that........?
And how therapeutic ..........
Nu always seems like a lot of fun to be with!

In my celestial opinion today is New Year's Day, being the day after our winter solstice, and so I wish you and your multitide of followers a Happy New Year while the sunshine returns; especially wishing yourself some calm, peacefulness and more pleasant times.
ReplyDeletenu is a lovely "battery charger".
ReplyDeleteMy lawyer talked to a barrister in London; so far we can't have you involuntarily committed.

DeleteThe doggies await...
ReplyDeleteThat's a Xmas Tonic!! And the dogs didn't even notice you were gone.
ReplyDeleteI can not think of anything more salubrious - other than perhaps substituting the bloody mary for a good snort of scotch.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the photo of you and Nu was taken post-Bloody Mary's!

ReplyDeleteJohn: very tired here for a variety of reasons, but I will find and send you the Christmas decoration/gift from San Francisco/Stanford in the near future. Cheers to you and Nu and Trendy Carol and the Boffin and all of your circle.
ReplyDeleteSo good you have your touchstone ini Nu. Mine is a good friend who lives nearby and like me, is a twin. There are many other things we have in common but I would be too identifiable if I listed them all.
ReplyDeleteSuffice to say that I consider myself very fortunate!
not hard to see that smile is better than any medicine. xo

Nu looks like the best therapy. Anyone who could so quickly make you forget a Code Brown is a miracle worker.
