Soul Wind

Our choir has a Christmas Concert to prepare for, and so our twelve year old choir master has given us all a CD each of our individual pieces so we can rehearse at home.
I haven't got a CD player at home so I have to practice in the car.

Got some strange looks in Tesco's car park today but I've practiced at the beach, on the hillside and outside fat club
The bass parts are not very sexy as you can hear...
Mary has been a bit depressed in her collar so I've taken it off just for the day.

Loved the glimpse of Mary. She's your wee shadow. Good idea practicing in the car.

I have a laptop that is old enough to play CDs, and a CD radio beside the bed. I use headphones to listen, gets the music straight to where it's needed and saves annoying the cat or my neighbours ;)

    1. I think she's been a bit depressed today so I took her out in the car without her collar

  4. Really enjoyed hearing you sing. Love that Mary has her very own music to enjoy.
I took the cone of shame off the dogs when I could watch them. It helps.

  5. I was wondering if your computer can play CDs.

Good practice. Sounds good. And Mary looks content to be serenaded in the car.

  8. Far rather listen to you than most X-Factor 'hopefuls'. (Ah, now there's a thought!) I'm sure Mary is of the same mind.

  9. When my dogs need those collars I take them off after a few days and put a piece of adhesive tape on a paw or just above the paw. They worry about the tape and forget about the stitches that have started to heal. It’s always worked.

    3. I've heard of this trick too. You can wrap sport tape around a leg too.

    Nice voice!

How lovely that Mary can be out of that cone for a while and accompany you to your song practice. She clearly is happy to be there with you singing to her.

Through to the next round methinks.
Mary enjoyed listening, very well behaved with thoughts of burgers, sausages or similar IF she is good and enthusiastic about the singing practise....

  16. Oh, great lyrics... well except for "there's a soul wind blowing" and "people get ready we can fly." I love your voice! Sending a cuddle to Mary ... and to you. Ba dum dum dum. Brilliant! Who wrote that?!?

  17. So sad that Mary is a bit depressed. Our dogs always detested the cone of shame and it was always removed at soon as possible. Love the idea of tape on the paw though. Keep up with the practising...your dum dums are sounding quite impressive!

  22. I hope Mary feels better tomorrow. I'll have to remember the trick with the tape in case we ever need it. Good voice, John! I love singing in the car in the dark because you don't have to worry about people seeing your lips move :)
