Police Stop

I was stopped by the police on the way home from Samaritans an hour or so ago
It was just past midnight and I took the roundabout at Rhuddlan a little too fast in Bluebell
The policeman was polite and workmanlike and of course I passed the breathalyser
It's the second time I've been tested driving home from the centre
I told him I had been on duty at Samaritans  and we chatted briefly about the lack of take up of support given to the police after rather difficult  cases.
I suggested that Rhyl Sams could support the local police department better than the existing protocol and he said it was probably a good idea....but he stopped short by adding " What do you think of Rick being kidnapped by Jadis?"
I frowned feeling a bit lost but he pointed to my chest
I was wearing my BEST. Walking Dead T Shirt.!!!
Well it was in fact my second best Walking Dead T Shirt

  6. I actually told my husband the week before that Jadis would take Rick away! Just hadn't thought about him having a BBQ of Walkers as part of his farewell.

  7. Glad you didn't get a ticket and found a fellow Walking Dead fan. Now just remember to slow down at that turn. Get a game console to live out your Fast and Furious fantasies. Grand Theft Auto series is fun, and the soundtrack is awesome.

Be careful and I wish you and your clan good health.

  8. It's good that you'd already seen the episode or you would have been really angry.

I mean, I know I hate it when cops pull me over and tell me spoilers for my favorite show.

Lovely for Mary to coorie in with you, comforting for both of you. My faithful cat is velcro'd to my left side as I type this in bed. She's as devoted to me as I am to her :)

  11. Was the cop who pulled you over Charlie from "Road Wars"?

  12. I've only been stopped for speeding twice in over 50 years of driving. More luck than judgment though, as I ignore speed limits most of the time (I just drive at the speed that seems appropriate given the road conditions).

Yes, good job you met a lenient cop who wasn't inclined to throw the book at you.

  14. Bluebell was “fast” to get home to Mary and the others.
Friendly police, no doubt reminding you to take it a bit slower . . .
    Walking Dead t-shirt made for a great connection . . .
Love the stories and you telling them . . .

  16. So Walking Dead fans are now forming a secret society/chatting group with police officers on duty haha.

My son got stopped a few times when he used to work at a holiday camp and would be driving home in the wee small hours of the morning. Once they scared him so much by suddenly putting on the blues and twos that he actually crashed into a wall, making a right mess of my car in the process. Of course he always passed the breathalyser with flying colours.
