  6. Meryl Streep. She is so gifted and extraordinarily talented that I'm sure she can pull off playing a man.

  7. Meryl Streep . . .
I think she could play a “perfect me” with all my complexities.

    I also agree . . .
She is xtremely talented and I am sure she could probably
pull it off playing a man.

  8. Do you mean play in your film? I'm too new for a speaking part so I'll be an extra - I pick a glamorous beauty like Hedy Lamarr and she will drape over furniture in the background miming "Rhubarb Rhubarb" wearing the pick of the costume department's frocks and hats.

If it's my film then I bags silent actress Alla Nazimova! I want it to be a silent film and then everyone can have fun prancing around over-acting and miming "Rhubarb Rhubarb".

  10. Oh crumbs! It would be way too boring to bother with! However, to play along with the idea, maybe Larry Olivier could lift it out of the humdrum.

    1. Btw: Yes, I KNOW he's been dead for decades, but at least that would give it some added interest.

Marlene Dietrich. In absence of the wildly sophisticated and sardonic Dietrich, child actress Shirley Temple will do - what with the rosy cheeks, the curly hair, the exuberance ...

  21. Dorothy Atkinson: her role in ‘Mr. Turner’ as his faithful adoring housekeeper should have won her an oscar, but sadly didn’t.

If she were still alive, Patty Duke. Short in stature, square jaw, blue eyes, capable of being goofy (her acting, my natural state sometimes) but also serious. I don't have her comic timing, but I thankfully also do not have her bipolar disorder, something that several members of my extended family do battle.

  46. When I was young, I was told I looked like a young Gina Lollabrigida. Now? a slightly chubby Isabella Rossillini.

Managed to lose five pound by getting a straight day shift job. Night shifts were killing me, evenings were just as bad. My shift cycle had killed my body.

  50. Interesting question, Jon. One that asks more than it seems....who is the person you are, or who you want to be...do you imagine who you are and was. And why.
No idea, and actually no interest. I'd be more interested in see who people who actually are and will be....love to see my girls in 25 years, my son the same.
I know who I was, what I did. I don't need anyone to fluff it up or deflate it. It was what it was.

    Cheers, pal.
