Death Goes On

The Walking Dead ( Ep 14)
had a lot going on........
Tara has forgiven Dwight. Morgan is still mad as a badger ( mad storylines get on my tits on The Walking Dead) Nabilla walked into shot holding a pitchfork and Rick " the Prick" became a mr nasty liar again cos he hasn't read Carl's letter and killed that attractive saviour with the beard!
Add to the mix A normal looking Jadis and a regretful Negan, that bloody helicopter again,Carol dealing with another potential child's death ( boy can she act) and that turd baddie Jared finally getting his just dues and it's easy to see that the strands of story are all whirling around each other for the finale in only two episodes time.
Central to the finale is ( I am hoping ) hope ! Hope and humanity....in Carl's letter me thinks
Oh and a bit more humour please.

  3. I suppose, in a general sense, death does go on. For the living, the survivors. The left. But I don't think it goes on for those who pass that gate: death. I think it's oblivion, nothing, the opposite of existence.
Isn't that a comfort? That at the end we don't have to go go, we don't have to have some kind of eternity, dealing with relatives, listening to music, whatever. Eternity. It's an horrible concept, that there is no end, no........just the end.
I know I don't want to go on forever, without end. I don't want some supreme being dictating how things are. I just want my self, to merge with the larger world. We are all iterations of Carbon.
    Cheers,
    Mike

    2. I’m with you on that John. My plan is to have a picnic on Beachy Head, let the handbrake off and fly!

STOP! That was the plan until a couple of months ago when a guy had the same idea... trouble was he survived.

  4. Carol is awesome! I totally agree that mad storylines are irritating and detract from the plot. There are zombies everywhere! Now is not the time to have a meltdown or have self doubts, lest you become zombie chow!

Rick needs some antipsychotics and tranquilizers. Or he needs a really nice cup of tea to calm down and get his crap together!

On a tangent, I don't know if I would enjoy eternity in paradise. But I do love the idea of reincarnation. Hopefully, in my next life, I can be reborn as a blue whale, so I'd spend my next life going Moby Dick on all those whaling ships and send those mofos to the afterlife! Or as a wasp, so I can sting the eyes of lying, hateful politicians when they start spouting lies and misinformation.

  5. John, this has nothing to do with death but I wanted to share it with you because it does have to do with chickens .. and houses !

  6. I've not seen an episode of this show, but you do make it sound entertaining. We are planning to binge watch it after it ends.

  7. I binge watched the entire Island series a few years back. It was good. But annoying when it got magic. It's a bit like '...and then he woke up' as an explanation for weird stuff. Or a mad storyline. I understand your annoyance.

  8. I love Morgan, always have from the first episode. I am sorry to see that he is moving to the spinoff show, which I do not watch. But at least he lives!

  10. was that a letter to Negan under the one addressed to 'Dad'? and everybody turns says Morgan. in more ways than one. turn in loyalty. the prisoners had a chance to stay but they fled and then turned again. who's to say where their loyalty was and if they would turn again once inside the compound. and what's with the mysterious helicopter?
