Of course she has done all those things ... they lived in a small house on Anglesey while William was stationed there. Just the two of them with occasional visiting friends.
With the very capable mother Kate has I doubt that there is any household task that she and her siblings have not been trained to do, and to do well. She was snapped doing a supermarket run just a few weeks ago!
New baby 5th in line. Might as well get on with his life. Find a career. Could take some tips on acting from Uncle Edward who used to be in show business.
You’ve got to love a bit of Betty. Paul Henreid lighting her ciggie and rendering the immortal line, and that music...they don't make them like that anymore.
I saw Ms Davis in the flesh when she did a national tour in theatres here of Q & A sessions (around 1976/7?). She was asked if there was any particular film role she regrets not having been offered to her, and she answered without hesitation - "Mame". Come to think of it, in the first clip above she could just as well be shaking the shit out of Lucille Ball!
Oh,I loved Baby Jane and still watch it on Youtube!,xx
ReplyDeleteIt's not my favourite Bette movie....I love Now Voyager and her later movie Hush hush sweet charlotte
DeleteHaving a bad day John???
ReplyDeleteMy elbow hurts
DeleteSo you took yourself to the vets ..... 🤣🤣🤣
DeleteI was expecting a sweet comment on the new royal baby but instead get a crazy baby Jane! Made me smile either way,
ReplyDelete.
Kate is a wonderful role model. She was looking bloody fabulous when she left the hospital
DeleteSo would you if you'd never washed a dish or vacuumed a carpet or cleaned a toilet bowl ever in your life! Role Model??Gimme a break!!!

DeleteAnd it's oh so hard to grocery shop? LOL!
DeleteIt is when you're trying to 'fly under the radar' AND not forget what you went in for!!
DeleteEveryone's got a camera these days.

ReplyDeleteThere's bound to be a few gays among the new crop
DeleteI thought you got on well with your sister! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI do , they are delightful
DeleteGotta love an eye roll, and that's a good one!
ReplyDeleteI have to have one eye roll at least once a week
DeleteNo one can roll their eyes like Bette Davis!
ReplyDeleteI could give her a run for her money
DeleteMy daughter is a Mistress of the eye roll. I bought her a great print that says " Did I just roll my eyes out loud?". Makes me laugh every day!
DeleteWho needs words?
ReplyDeleteI wanted to see how many comments I could get without saying anything
DeleteI fell into your trap.
DeleteYour role model for the week?

DeleteWho DOESN'T want to be Bette Davis?
ReplyDelete2 fabulous actresses and they are best remembered in this crap film. sad :(
ReplyDeleteWhere’s it hurting John?

DeleteThis is a great example of why Bette was nominated for "Baby Jaane" and Joan wasn't
ReplyDeleteEven though her face looks like a bag of spanners
DeleteAh, but the things she does with those spanners...

ReplyDeleteSome tough women!
One of your favourite films I seem to recall
ReplyDeleteBaby Jane? Naw I disliked it , but I love Bette generally....All About Eve is her VERY best
DeleteYou have show clips from it before.
DeletePoor Bette had many bad days; I hope you don’t.
ReplyDeleteLoved All About Eve best of all.She looked at her most fabulous in it.
ReplyDeleteAnd she looked over forty too.. forty, fabulous and feisty
DeleteYou’ve got to love a bit of Betty. Paul Henreid lighting her ciggie and rendering the immortal line, and that music...they don't make them like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteSo why were you at the vet's?
ReplyDeletePicking up tablets, no animal dramas
DeleteI love that last image, but I can't help but see French and Saunders when they did the Baby Jane sketch - brilliant :D
ReplyDeleteI have EXACTLY the same mouth
DeleteYou really have to be tough to be a Receptionist! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe face is one thing but ....did you strangle or shake anyone????
ReplyDeleteYou don't see those beauty spots on the unblemished faces of actresses today. It makes for a great punctuation mark when flourished next to a sneer!

ReplyDeleteI'll say it, John: You've got Betty Davis Eyes!
ReplyDeleteI’ve had that same ugly face a time or two. Eeeeeekkk
