I sprained my foot so we didn't do the usual trek to cut our own tree. I decided to buy one from the Junior Forest Wardens thus we have a fragile, wispy little thing. The young wardens were very proud of it and their beaming faces was worth the price.
I see you are getting ready. We haven't put up a tree in a dozen years.no reason other than it requires a good house clean. We leave for the holidays in hopes that when we return the elves will have cleaned for us.
I'm surrounded by wilderness, today was sunny and beautiful, I wanted to put up the tree as well, so I trudged through the snow, up the steps and back into my house to get the tree out of the box in the large closet where we keep extra blankets. Fake tree!
We did one of those bare twiggy things one year and no amount of lights would make it look happy. It was just bare and sad. The next day I was making dinner and my husband called and said he would be a few minutes late getting home. He came home with a real tree
If I put up a real tree, 3 cats would destroy it in minutes. My dog just peed on the presents , thanking us for putting a tree in the living room for him.
It must be a bit of a 'carry on' putting up a big one!

Very nice! Our fake tree is about four feet high and white. Suitable for in front of the fake fireplace. (A lot of f’s in that sentence,)

We have a twelve-inch artificial one that's been going strong for several decades. Size is not important, as they say.
