Yes been to the met museum, Neue Galerie ,Pershing square, a sunny Central Park, top of the rock and off to Docks on 3rd avenue for a cocktail and dinner shortly!
You are enjoying yourselves! I loved Central Park. Did you read "Make Way for Ducklings" when you were a child? It had pencil drawings, and won a very early Carnegie Medal as I recall.
Was it really 72 degrees in New York? Shocking! We here in Los Angeles are rejoicing that it is finally below 70! Two weeks ago it was 90 degrees F at 7 in the morning! Gah!
One of my nieces and her hubby are in the city right now, there with you. He's running in Sunday's (tomorrow's) marathon. Could it be that that is also why you're there? (Keeping it quiet, you sly dog!) We wait to see you brandishing your finisher's medal! Good luck! Anyway, when you bump into Chris and Sharon from York, do tell them that Ray sends his greetings. Thanks!
I wonder if Manhattan is so named because long ago during the first phase of European settlement, a native American looked up from his hunting position and spotted a white man wearing a black rimmed hat. Rushing back to his wigwam, he may have announced to his tribe, "Man! Hat on! Man! Hat on!"
I had no idea where trelawnwyd was until I nearly drove through it yesterday. I am visiting my mother in law who lives on the Wirral and we went out to the tweedmills outlet near St Asaph and found that if I had not turned off I would have arrived. Oddly you also have a church dedicated to st Michael and all angels which is the same as our church. There the similarities end as according to google you have a pub, our only amenity is a post box...it’s tough in Somerset
Awww, it is good to see NYC ... and you two .. are you loving it ?

DeleteWait a minute! Make Way for Ducklings is set in Boston.
DeleteYou can see by the way his forehead is all puckered up that he's trying very very hard not to smile but he's losing the battle.

I've just heard that they visited Ground Zero yesterday.

If they're going to put a quote form a Hart on a bench, why not Lorenz or Moss?

Nothing beats just walking in the Park, and talking a little rest on the grass in the shade of a tree on a warm day! Love the Bethesda Angel :)
