He works too hard.
He can't knock a nail into a piece of wood.
He's crap at badminton.
He wakes far too early in the morning and switches on his bloody iPad
He's loud when I want to be quiet.
He moans constantly about the fact I leave my clothes on the floor of the bathroom.
My husband is finally home today after a week away
And I am very glad!

ReplyDeleteThey do say absence makes the heart grow fonder xx
ReplyDeleteThat's called love John and be very thankful that you have found it. And make every moment precious while you have it.
ReplyDeleteMy mother said it for me: We prefer the fault of those we love to the perfections of others...
ReplyDeleteAnd you most certainly do love the Prof.
Yes! Totally agree!
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly love, and in-it-for-better-or-for-worse.... comittment.
Infuriating, incredible.... Wonderful, wouldn't-change-a-thing. Useless, unique.... Marvellous, maddening.... Fabulous, frustrating,
I'll leave some letters for others.
You should do one of those Nationwide ads. The one showing in the cinema is good at the moment and some of the tv ones are good; your words here would work well.
ReplyDeleteThe gay guy with the pretty girl ad! ?
DeleteDidn't know he was gay but they work well together in delivery.
DeleteToby Campion is a wonderful midlands poet..watch his 'I started to cut his hair' on youtube..it makes me cry everytime.
Deletesounds like the perfect marriage; long may it continue . Joan XXX
ReplyDeleteKnew you were missing him loads!!xx
ReplyDeleteyeah, mine is the same way; sometimes a pain in the arse, sometimes a saint. our 25th anniversary is coming up next week.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am glad for you both ~
ReplyDeleteLove. It's a strange and wonderful thing, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI used to miss mine when he was traveling often on business - but also enjoyed having time to pursue my own interests. Now he's retired and always here - travel is all about the two us going together and though it's fun I do miss having that 'free time'.
ReplyDeleteBottom line, enjoy each and every day - they fly by fast - we've been married 53 years, you have a few more to go John. Mine can't knock nail in either, haha!
The sweet little things we miss when we are apart.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Prof. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, love; it helps forgive a myriad of 'sins'.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday, John!
ReplyDeleteMine snores and talks too much, but I adore her!
ReplyDeleteMine is funny, kind, caring and a great dad. the best thing about him (and sometimes the worst) is that he always thinks the best of people until proved otherwise.I prejudge and am often wrong! Hang onto that man John, he sounds like a keeper x
ReplyDeleteSo are we.
ReplyDeleteIsn’t that the truth , , ,
ReplyDeleteLittle “drive me crazy things . . .”
But LOVE THEM and happy to have them home after a week away!
Ain't love grand?!?
ReplyDeleteJust lovely xx
