Dunno. I haven't slept the night through in decades, and now 5-6 hours with many waking periods is the norm. This with CPAP, and taking 15mg melatonin.....
A friend on Facebook recently posed the question "If you could have either 8 uninterrupted hours of sleep every night or a self-cleaning house, which would you choose?" Interestingly, most respondents chose the self-cleaning house. Not me. You can always hire someone to clean your house (if you've got the dough) but nobody can get restful sleep for you.
Perhaps you were dreaming about being chased by a giant scotch egg called Barry.
ReplyDeleteA lovely dream me thinks
DeleteI can sympathize - That's the exact same position my 50lb dog sleeps in! It does not contribute to a restful night's sleep.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Winnie sleeps in the arm chair
DeleteThat's the perfect word for it, and I'm gonna start using it myself!
ReplyDeleteI expect your next blog to be cysgu led
Deletetonight have a large G&T before sleeping.
ReplyDelete3 sleeping cats = 1 sleeping pup ... just so you know...

puppy neck hugs while sleeping!
I looked at the heading and thought you were talking of swans.
ReplyDeleteYour sleep might have been restless, but it looks like someone's wasn't.
ReplyDeleteShe loves her sleep!
DeleteSo glad you gave the pronunciation key!
ReplyDelete(I do not sleep any better w/out Jack, so I don't think Mary is your problem.)
My first thought on seeing the pic was "My God, but that forearm is hairy, the sexy devil!".

ReplyDelete8 uninterrupted hours would be glorious.
DeleteWho took the photo? Albert?

DeleteAwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteConsidering I am in perimenopause, it sucks, a real full night sleep would be a gift. Oh to be a cat...
acupuncture got me sleeping a full night although i am apparently too young at 46 for perimenopause!
DeletePerimenopause started at age 40 for me so, no, you are not too young!
DeleteFurry bed-fellow isn't having a restless night. We often have four fat cats (bed hogs) all over us. BTW Who took the photo?
ReplyDeleteThat would do it all right. But it's a very sweet photo.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though Mary managed OK, but where was the gorgeous Winnie?
ReplyDeleteIn the arm chair in the living room
DeleteI like the canine scarf around your neck John - very fashionable.
ReplyDeleteDid you need the fit bit to tell you it was a fitfull sleep?
ReplyDeleteMy sleep is always fitful but ... if you add it all up .... it's enough. I miss my furry bedtime companion.
ReplyDeleteSurely related to Del Boy's cushtie?
ReplyDeleteMaybe a 'sleep apnea' mask would help.
ReplyDeleteI think you should write a whole blog post in Welsh, so we can all tear our hair out trying to translate it. :)
