  3. The duck is brilliant - no adornment but regarding the green peacock - I am afraid it just looks like a lettuce to me.

    3. You destroyed the evidence! Duck books into a hotel with a young model and immediately asks for a condom. Receptionists asks if he wants to pay now, and he says, "Put it on my bill."

  6. If the duck wins, the prize should go to Mother Nature.

As in previous years you have had some amazing entries, John. Truly astonishing. However, as the French say, that courgette duck is "simple yet stylish". The definition of (seemingly) effortless elegance. The epitome.

To expand on Starting Over's perceptive and valid comment, namely that "the prize should to go to Mother Nature", I'd like to add that the prize should go to the one who recognizes form without feeling need to add to/alter anything.

  16. My Granddad used to say 'love a duck'. I wonder where it originated? Perhaps it was a gentleman's way of saying something else.

This is more like what I think the contest is all about. I always seem to have embellish mine somewhat.. But I try to leave the basic veggie there without too much tampering.
Both of these made my morning.
