Firelight

The cottage is lit by firelight and it's raining heavily outside.
I am listening to radio 4 watching Mary Cuddling up to Winnie in the darkness
The Prof is away

Albert is playing with my toes

  4. We are waiting for the rain in our part of Florida :) all this talk about floods doesn't make me feel relaxed.
There is hardly anything as sweet and relaxing as snuggling in with the cats or pups .. My cats get to purring and it is impossible for me to stay awake lol ... cat hypnotists, that is what they are !

    1. Radio 4 is BBC but what shows are you waiting for .. stories ? I love listening to someone telling a good story .. it is hard to find stations here in the US ( at least where I am at the moment) that has anything but Talk Radio and crap music.

  6. Stormy weather drives the mice indoors and with six cats it makes for a noisy night! Mouse rescued and cats mollified with a tin of food. I'm now 'Sleepless in Hampshire'!!!

  9. Sounds like your family is content. Is Albert purring? I'm imagining he is.

  11. Mary Cuddling would make a great name. You could trust someone with that name. Yesterday at Oxfam a woman came in called Clare Nice and she was very nice. I learnt her name when I asked her to fill in a Gift Aid label.

  14. Sounds like a lovely cosy, relaxing evening in the cottage with your animals - sounds idyllic, but as someone mentioned, what's going on with this weather - we are in June!!??

  15. Sounds blissful. Would love to light my fire, but better half is sitting in his shorts and t shirt, so I guess that won't be happening. Thank god for crochet blankets when the weather is pants.
