Humanity

Owners of bulldogs always say that their dogs have true humanity in their personality
This evening is a case in point.
I looked up from my paperwork around nine
and carefully watched Winnie sitting comfortably in her armchair  gazing into the middle distance
She was obviously thinking about something important

Her belly wobbling too and fro,
"Even though I didn't win first prize,
I'm still the star of the flower show".

  17. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
    Only this, and nothing more.'

  25. WINNIE'S THOUGHT BUBBLE "You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: Victory. Victory at all costs—Victory in spite of all terror—Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."

  30. Possibly she's considering whether she should run for Mayor in the next election, or whether it would eat up too much of the time she'd rather spend cozying up to tradesmen ...

  39. She was thinking how much more of your attention she would get if you weren't hugely involved with the flower show. Then she thought ' How could I help? I know they could have a Best home made dog biscuits section, and of course, I would judge it!'

    She's such a deep thinker!

  40. She's obviously spotted you and the Prof sitting like this and thought I'll give it a go and see if it makes me look as clever and thoughtful 😊

  46. I believe that animals, dogs and cats, and smaller children have a portal into worlds we
cannot see or comprehend or appreciate. They try to tell us about them, but we either choose not to believe or we don't know how to listen to them.
