Pumpkin caught and ate a tiny moth the other night. Normally she doesn't view anything below the size of a pigeon worth her while. There's a tiny wood mouse that I've seen near my mini greenhouses that she is aware of. She just stares at it as if to say "you're not worth the effort".
I love most creatures great and small; having said that and feeling sorry for that gorgeous butterfly, the reaction of the woman in the video is priceless ... thank you for the smiles in spite of the destruction :)
I know, me too. I remember a cat of mine , long ago, catching a baby mouse and me running around the house screaming at the cat to Drop It !!! I cried when that damned cat got away with that poor little mouse.
Naughty Bently .... Suky would never eat a butterfly, in fact she has never killed anything.
She is fascinated by anything that is alive, she watches spiders flies, chicks, cows, sheep and all she does is try to get close and then copy them. Hence she now eats grass like cows, grabs great big tufts and pulls them up. Mad Pug :-)
You need a Scotch Egg a day to get you back to normal ... you've earned them!!
Our cat came in with a Robin in his mouth. Let it loose in the closet and the injured bird crapped everywhere. Not on the washable clothing-----The ones that need to be dry cleaned. Pets.
Had a Cocker Spaniel years ago who arrived with what looked like a plucked chicken she was told to drop it and to our surprise the almost plucked chicken ran of.
