The sedation didn't touch the sides
So I merrily watched the insides of my colon with a chatty, sweet natured
Filipino nurse who I told , I was a farmer.
I didn't want to say that I was a nurse,
Playing dumb can be sometimes very useful.
Thank you for all your best wishes and colon stories...I didn't know just how many
of you out there in blogland has had a camera up their arse!
By the end of the investigation, after bits and pieces were biopsied
the Filipino nurse asked me what I though of the video
" I'm cleaner on the inside than I usually am on the outside"
I told her
My gastroenterologist said that the coming recommendations for colonoscopies will be two clear tests, then that will be all that is necessary. Hope, hope.
ReplyDeleteWell done John, I thaught at least they'd find the odd scotch egg or one of aunt Glady's scones. Wishing you well .
ReplyDeletewell done!
ReplyDeleteOh, (relieved sigh) you're still making jokes, then it all came out right... I'm glad you were taken good care of, perhaps this nurse was particulary fond of farmers....Hope the results won't take long!
ReplyDelete"There, there Dear, All over now" Glad you're home and all's well. I am presuming the Prof drove you - or did you have to stay until you were fit to drive?
ReplyDeleteGlad it went well.
ReplyDeleteThank you...i am now boring the tits off myself with all this
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good time had by all. Glad there were no surprises.
ReplyDeleteShe probably knew you were lying. Your profession is probably recorded in your medical notes xx

ReplyDeleteGlad that's over for you and hope all's well that ends well!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope you don't have to go through that again for a while.
ReplyDeleteWhen will the commercial DVD be released?
ReplyDeleteThe Prof should be proferring a scotch egg methinks after your ordeal! Glad it's all over!
ReplyDeleteGuess that was better - being awake - rather than thrown around like a gunny sack of potatoes.
ReplyDeleteYAYZ! (does a happy dance)
ReplyDeletenow off to bed with the dogs to rest.
So will you tell us if all is well?
ReplyDeleteBecause some of us are such worriers.
DeleteI'm sure it all will be x
DeleteI had to look up "didn't touch the sides"---poor John, that's terrible, could they not provide more sedation?! And...should we expect a link to your film on You Tube soon? Hope you get a good report, you're a brave guy!
ReplyDeletex lizzy
you are made of stern stuff!
ReplyDeleteI hope all went well. At my colonoscopy, I was diagnosed with Optirectumitus. They said my eyeball was attached to my asshole and everything I see looks like shit! Hell, I could have told them that!!!
ReplyDeleteYay for a clean bill of health.
ReplyDeleteGlad all "went "well !
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw your heading I thought there would be a photo of someone's bum !
You have trained us well, Master !
Your Padawans are learning.
cheers, parsnip
Had two. First one was an "emergency" Second was a follow up. The prep solution is pure evil.
ReplyDeleteGastroscopy both times as well, and no the cameras don't meet in the middle.
Absolutely no memory of either procedure. Drugs, lots of is my hospital's policy
Spousal Unit had his done at a different hospital and woke up towards the end and watched.
Drugs, give me drugs.
John, Take advantage of every test/screening/xray you can! So glad you were checked and I'm sure your results will give you sweet dreams!
ReplyDeleteYou could post the video - I hope all is well and back to normal
ReplyDelete"Didn't touch the sides", not sure what you mean, but obviously you were aware enough to watch the video feed. Can I at least hope that you didn't feel any pain??? Glad it is all over with. I would celebrate with food, but that's just me. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteGlad it's all over and you came through fine, as I knew you would. You can rest easy now.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear all went well, hoping for a clean bill after biopsies come back…
ReplyDeleteThought you might enjoy this little snippet, since you have now been on camera.

Lol...made me laugh
DeleteWell done for going John x
ReplyDeleteGlad it's over and done with and hoping for good results from the GP.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that's out of the way, but I'm guessing that between now and the results will be the most worrying time for you. I hope you don't have to wait too long for some good results, John. xx
ReplyDeleteFingers ( and legs ) crossed for the all clear!
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure what a colon is for....
ReplyDeleteGreat news . . .
