So glad you all survived the stress of the 25th, and are able to relax today with a nice walk, and time to appreciate Trelawynd from above. Did you take the dogs too?
It's a day for a snuggle with a loved one. Thanks for going gently. May you, the prof and your extended furry family have peace and joy this coming new year.
You and the Prof look full of mischief! Hope you enjoyed your walk together, and wishing you lots of snuggles indoors by the fire, and that the shared warmth lasts all the way through the new year.
I was going to make bubble and squeak from the left over sprouts and carrots for supper. But there is far too much bubbling and squeaking going on (and no doggies to blame) so it's all gone into the bin!
I'm with Delores, I will skip the walk and just sit by the fire. You two are a good lookin' couple ! Happy New Year ! Your scenery sure is wonderful. .
In New Zealand it's a day for walking by the sparkling sea and reading a book under the shade of a tree, for giving thanks for yesterday's sumptuous food, and finding room to squeeze in a ham sandwich and perhaps a glass of something cool, for giving thanks for family and friends, and wishing friends a very happy holiday. So much to be thankful for.
I love that pic of you guys! Boxing Day for us this year was Saturday schedules at our bushfire brigade, just as usual, but the cup of tea went on for a lot longer than usual and was very relaxed and jovial :) There were two dog walks in the day as well, though!
You know, yesterday passed without my ever realizing it was Boxing Day. It's still not a thing to me, even after living in Britain for years. (Especially when I'm immersed in Americana, as now.)
saving composed work and every last hand while we’re the other three were essentially you're mine then on Millionaire Blueprint Sun fight I would come cruiser sit down at the table pretending we did Mile running towards and looking like rich kids from LA Reid fine and dandy five thousand dollars and star planes are we couldn't have minded .
Happy Boxing day then.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know all's well. Having seen the news, was worried you may be under water too.
ReplyDeleteThere are never enough left-overs for B&Sq so I've had to pop out this am for the makings as Sunday's meal. Almost the best homemade meal of the Year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Boxing Day! We threw a Boxing Day Brunch for a few years - a nice way to wind down the holidays.
