The Walking Dead Episode 9 ( spoilers)

Time for a laugh?

It's back, and true to Walking Dead form, the tv series is still playing with the audience like a zombie cat with a mouse. Right on the heels of the two groups joining up again just after Beth's death, we see "team Rick" splitting yet again ( nice to see Carol in charge of group  B) and after that happens we are suddenly witnessed to another of the long term characters ending up as the Dead's breakfast.
This time it's the bumbling nice bear Tyreece who gets the chop, which is hardly a real surprise given that this character has never really been developed since he arrived in series 3.
Siblings never seem to do well on TWD do they? Andrea lost Amy, Daryl lost Merle, Maggie lost Beth and now Sasha lost Tyreece.....
If I was Judith, I'd watch myself very closely indeed..either that or invest in a zombie proof baby grow !
Episode 9 was a cracking, dreamlike and visceral start to the final 8 set pieces of season 5...it was wonderfully evocative of Danny Boyles' "28 Days Later" and finally it's great to see thatThe Walking Dead has really reclaimed it's mojo
Hey ho
Chad Coleman as the unfortunate Tyreese

  6. Can't say I found it all that exciting. Wasted time on a second rate character and the show is refusing to adapt like the graphic novel storyline did. At this point in the game vehicles should long be a thing of the past as no fuel is going to remain viable that long without treatments. They should also be coming across the groups that belong to antagonist tribe by the time they reach Richmond. I am beginning to wonder if the series isn't going to take a wide arch away from the original storyline now again.

  7. My husband said, I'm not watching it. It's silly. I don't like damn zombies, they don't make sense.

He looked very surprised when I told him it wasn't really about the zombies.

At least I won't have to worry about his teasing when I cry.

Every year for our public broadcast station they have a fund raiser. For many years they would show Anne of Green Gables. Every year when Richard Farnsworth (looked like my dad in later years) died I would cry. Exasperated he finally asked, Do you think the next time he won't die? I replied, I can always hope.

What can I expect from a man who delighted in my frustration during my first Lassie movie, she went over the big water fall. Hubby said, She dies. I said, She can't! She's Lassie! Enjoying himself entirely too much he said, The days of Timmy and Lassie are over. The dog's dead. It's a movie. I believe it was twenty minutes before Lassie limped home. That was over a decade ago and I haven't forgiven him yet.

Make you look forward to married life???

  8. Great episode. It seemed to me like a reboot of sorts, to head off into a new direction now, tying up loose ends so to speak.

Love it, can't wait for the next episode!!!

  9. We just watched the first two episodes of season 2. I cried when Carl was shot.

    Thanks!

  10. Not the best episode for me I'm afraid... Lazy writing, as a seasoned zombie killer, Tyreese would have been on high alert and not such easy prey - just saying....

Just found your blog and love that you love The Walking Dead. I thought it was a good episode last night, was said to see Tyreese go though. I do have my own entirely personal 'views of Daryl per episode' quota which was, sadly, not met last night - however......

  12. He only had himself to blame but he was a nice guy so glad they took care of him and buried him decent. Noah seems a little out it; he is no Glen that s for sure, maybe he was too traumatized in the hospital.
Cant wait to see where they go next.
