Whitehall 1212

I've been painting all day
So when I was full of aches and pains at teatime
I put it down to balancing on a kitchen chair in mrs Hopkins slippers
However I have a temperature
So I'm off to bed and
With chris away
If you don't hear from me tomorrow
Call the authorities

  16. That's what you get for taking Mrs Hopkins' footwear, very likely without her permission, too :)

Seriously, I hope it's a minor virus and gone by the morning. If not, can you call someone to walk the dogs? Affable despot Jason fellow, maybe? Or maybe not, I see he's poking fun at you in the comments above!

Somehow I read the last line as Call the Midwife. I hope it isn't a really bad cold.

  30. Oh Lordy, nothing worse than being sick when there is no one to look after you. Lots of fluids, was going to say hotties, but I think you won't need them! paracetamol and if you have a kindly neighbour, chicken soup. Wellness rays coming your way from sunny Auckland John.

  31. The NON-emergency health issue phone number here is 111 (though I'd venture to say most Brits still don't know it). This seems a golden opportunity for someone (not me) to use it, as they're just sitting there twiddling thumbs, waiting for calls to come through.

Get well pronto, J.G. Your doggies need their walks!

  32. I hope you're feeling well enough to look after yourself and the animals today. Take care and if you can.... take it easy for a few days. xx
