Good news

I was pleased with yesterday's snapshot post
Farting through windows, egg throwing teens and Flower Show news
It's all go here in the village
Today's post is even better
" take aim........finger on the trigger....and FIRE!"

It's amazing just what some judicious antibiotics
Half a can of kitikat
and a good night's sleep can do to an old turkey
Bingley's Back!

Glad he is feeling better, John. I do so like turkeys (and not just on the plate). I have fond memories of our Tom (yes, I know, pedestrian name), of many years ago.

  13. And looking very bright eyed too. Lovely to see :-)

Does he actually like a cuddle or did you just grab him and force one upon him? You need long arms to do a Selfie with a Turkey .. lol.

  17. I'm so pleased, and I've never even met him! We had an old rooster named Pepper (the other half of Salt and Pepper) who lived quite a long life despite being pretty much blind. I have a soft spot for the old gentle ones. Way to catch it in time!

  38. Yay! That is a wonderful photo :)

When our cats turn their heads to the wall, it's because they will be upchucking a hairball within the day. Do turkeys have that problem? Never mind, I just thought about my own question ...

  39. Best "selfie" with a celebrity I have seen for a while.

  40. Oh, another display of that trick from the irritating silly software that tells me a comment could not be published due to Error 30whatever.., then as soon as I try again up pops the original attempt. Computer taking the piss, obviously. Very funny computer. Ha bleedin' ha. Wasn't even funny the first time (Yes - just like my comment. OK).

  41. And looking very perky I might add. (as it rhymes with turkey there is a poem there somewhere.) So glad.

    ReplyDelete
  42. You haven't posted about him for a while. Turkeys know these things.

Just look at his face, he's counting up the money he's won from the Ukrainian Village. The 'I'll have my name in that blog tomorrow morning' bet.

  53. THANKS ALL
I opened the hen house this morning and he was first out!
He walked right up to me and inspected my pockets for any sign of cat food........I ran back over to the house, nicked Albert's cat bowl and offered Bingley that... He ate the entire lot......
And looks as normal as ever today...... It was, I would admit...a lovely surprise!
    Hey ho

  54. Great news, he looked really down in the dumps. The comeback kid. Looking at the huge number of Bingley comments and his perky face, he is really gobbling up the attention. Not on the Thanksgiving platter this year.

  59. Well, bless Bingley's caruncles - he's alive! I am thrilled to know that dear old Bingley had it in him to escape from the grim reaper's clutches. His wattle has great color. his snood is divine & his eyes are clear & bright! Plus, Bingley has broken the jinx of staring at the wall. Are you so thrilled with his recovery that Bingley will be invited to join all the dogs & Albert in bed with you & Chris tonight and perhaps he could have a warm bath in the tub or do you think that might push Chris completely over the edge of sanity? I'll sleep better tonight knowing Bingley is da turkey!

  60. Good Heavens, I am absent for 3 days and in that time Bingley has almost succumbed and then made an amazing recovery !! Things sure move fast in Wales.
