Wet Family

The Ice Bucket Challenge in support of MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) has reached North Wales in force. My family has subjected themselves to a soaking and have raised a tidy sum for the MND Association. I guess this is the power of social media and charity work.......
well done to them....
Shame on those that enjoy the limelight and the soak without the financial sting!
They are just drama queens!

  6. All very good sports, and their laughter is contagious - made me smile all the way through! MND is, I think, known as ALS in North America. A terrible disease.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is getting a good airing all over Oz as well - just this month a former Aussie rules player now coach Neale Daniher revealed he has MND which has made it even more newsworthy than before.

  11. Good for them. As I think you know, my sister Heather has had MND for some nine years. More research is desperately needed into this terrible, and as yet incurable, disease.

  22. Everybody that I know that has done the ice bucket has contributed. I did without the freeze but have done my part in this worthy cause. It is amazing how much this has exploded due to social media, but it is even better that it has raised so much money and awareness to this disease.
