How does that old " nobody & Somebody" Frank Sinatra go again?
I can't really remember it
It's a bit before my time
I've just had to YouTube it
Anyhow it reminds me of something I have just seen this afternoon
The aggressive SONOFABITCH " The Bastard" has finally been adopted by four old girls from the pensioner hen house on the far western periphery of the Ukrainian village and has
Settled down as nicely as Liberace would have done in a cherub making factory.
As meek as a lamb, the little cockerel now totters sweetly after his bitches
All Happy, quiet and self confident
Content in the fact he's finally found a home
Sinatra was right
" you're nobody unless somebody loves you"
There is nothing like a good woman to quieten a man down.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing. He just needed some Lady friends to give him a sheltering wing
Deletecheers, parsnip
I think a regular shag has helped
DeleteHappy, happy cockerel!
ReplyDeleteToo true. 'The Life of Brian' is playing over on Chris's site... "How shall we fuck off, Master?"
ReplyDeleteWho put the 't' in 'Chris', I wonder?
DeleteThe whole thing has depressed me greatly
DeleteWhich is a shame
I've un-followed; can't be doing with it.
DeleteThe worst thing is that he is self-fulfilling a prophesy about people shunning him and leaving him.
DeleteThese silly people really know how to burn bridges.
The 'Girls' probably had a meeting and decided that they needed to take "The Bastard" under their collective 'wing'. I can hear the discussion now. The 'hard' one saying 'just leave him, he needs to learn how to behave in this community'. Then the other three, more motherly types, agreeing that 'He needs a mothers guiding hand'
ReplyDeleteWhile "The Bastard" is thinking 'Umm... four oldies, I think I may be on for a shag here.
And he's had a few !
DeleteBless him
A kid in a sweet shop comes to mind
How nice to end the weekend on an "up" note. From a relatively new reader in Philadelphia - Carol

DeletePeace and contentment again in the "village". All's well that ends well. Think happy thoughts and don't let depression take a hand...so many love you!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, John. Being loved is tough titty. Apart from not getting any peace and quiet people who love you are expecting something in return. Because THEY love you.
ReplyDeleteIf ever you are obliged it's when someone loves you. Reciprocity doesn't enter the equation. Never mind. Put it all in the pink wash. Do complain later when it's all turned blue.
Should you and Chris still be looking for a wedding speech writer I have about five hundred comforting words to spare.
U
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
DeleteHurrah for the the Bastard!
ReplyDeleteAnd regarding born-agains - I have three siblings like that; and one I have 'unfollowed' in real life.
That's so sweet.....he feels accepted. All that bravado was just an act.
ReplyDeleteCarry on carrying on John....you're all right.
Awwww......
ReplyDeleteCould they be known, collectively, as ' The Kardashi-hen's ' !!!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteThe best line of the day
Deletebwhahahahahaha! :)
DeleteHahaha!
DeleteAll's well that ends well. For now :)
ReplyDeleteNice indeed. Glad you could have a smile about something, John. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the weekend is ending on a happy note for you. The B's plumage is quite stunning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy ending. Cheer up, it could be worse...all the dogs could be pooping.
ReplyDeleteAll he needed as some 'old girl loving' and now he's a pussy cat, well he's still a cockerel ....... but you know what I mean ;-)
