Walking Dead. Episode 10

Daryl & Beth....." Happy days...matching outfits"
Well after the fall of the prison , The Walking Dead wisely returned to its disaster movie roots and concentrated a whole episode on the eclectic bunch of survivors in zombie infested Georgia.
Of course in true Star Trek fashion the prison red shirts are eaten ( including some of the minor child characters) but five separate groups weave their way along the railroad tracks towards a new destiny.

Carol is back, as is baby Judith...and fledgling psychopath Lizzy ( who almost smothered the baby to save herself and her sister) is suddenly making things a whole lot more interesting.
Maggie and Glen's separation is nicely observed, Daryl is interestingly retreating back into his asbergers  shell and Beth has finally stopped singing and has started to act.

Still great fun... Team prison is now up to 18 souls!
Carol's back and not a child in the house is washed

  1. Never managed to get into this series but happily read your updates. I'm trying to find myself another US series to get hooked on until I can get season 9 of Criminal Minds. Such an exciting life I lead. Knitting and murder !

  2. I was so relieved that the entire episode wasn't dedicated to Daryl and Beth. I was disappointed she had survived, as I find her only marginally less grating than Carl.

Not sure if you noticed, I didn't but they made a big issue out of it on The Talking Dead after show (I know you don't get that but you should really try). When Lizzy was sitting on that log around the 1st scene, there were 3 little bunnies in it and though you never see her do it, you can see her hands sawing at something. When they walk away, if you look close you can see the bloody bodies of the bunnies. She didn't do it for the food but for the KILL!

    2. I'm not sure we saw the manager, but all the staff were brilliant.

We will have to meet up there sometime to thank you for recommending it, and to swap chicken and dog stories, the food will be on us .... well not literally I didn't see them drop anything ;-)

  6. As Sean above me said, Talking Dead is SO worth the added detail. The stream of thought about the episode and details we might have missed or plot details writers were intending to convey is fascinating. That being said, yes, Lizzy is a becoming a mini serial killer. It always starts with animals. And don't forget the dead rats being fed to the walkers last season....you KNOW it had to be her.

Great episode and now I guess all paths will lead to Terminus?

Terminus - was the original name for Atlanta and can mean 'the end of the line' which probably came from the end of the train line.

  7. I thought Judith was a goner! That opens up a long new can of worms.

  8. Cant blame poor Lizzy for flipping......she has been through a lot.
I am totally addicted ever since I lay on the couch for a whole weekend with flu and got sucked into the marathon.
Michonne is my favorite followed by Daryl and Glen.
It is so exciting because it is a story of survival against all the odds.
Of course Judith is nt dead - having the zombies eat babies is definitely stepping over the boundaries of decent zombie behaviour........
