I just find it hilarious when cats do this. I once watched my niece's cat walk by the neighbor's dog (who just sat there doing nothing). As the cat passed, he punched the dog in the snout and kept on walking.
That can't be Leo, my cat! He roams but I don't think he's crossed the Atlantic yet. I can see him slapping the dog. He survives in an area of raccoons, wild dogs and coyotes. All of which would have him for lunch if they could.
Yes, I thought it was a monkey too. My old cat tolerates the puppy sniffing round and licking him for a while, but then pup gets a bit too enthusiastic and the swiping starts……at which point, ( or preferably just before that point) I have to remove one of them.( It is expensive when a dog gets a scratched eye!)
You must have been at the cooking sherry again Earl! That's not Albert doing the bulldog slapping, it's a freaking monkey! Is there a zoo nearby or something? It must have escaped.
Poor Albert. First trapped in the loo, then whereever the monkey ninja event occured & now almost snapped between Winnies' steel trap teetth while napping peacefully on the couch- Whats' a cat to do? Plot, plot & plot some more. Winnifred I wouldn't close my eyes if I were you. Albert has you on his hit list & what he's planning is not likely to be pretty. I have serious concerns for Albert's safety. Winnie does not seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer. She also looks like she may not have the best impulse control when it comes to Albert. The peaceable kingdom is no more. look like she has the best impulse control.
What on earth did Winifred do to deserve it?
ReplyDeleteI hope she's ok - that swipe was rather close to her eyes.
She was fine jean
DeleteShe just needed to be reminded that cat is king
Dog is slave
Looks like my kind of cat!
ReplyDeleteGo Albert...you put that critter in its place.
ReplyDeleteCat on dog action.
ReplyDeleteWas it because Winnie took Alfred's sunny spot or is Albert just bad?!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, got my Alberts and my Alfreds mixed up! I meant to say 'Albert'!
DeleteI swear that looks like a Chimpanzee. Does anyone else see that??
ReplyDeleteYou beat me to it. :-)
DeleteMore like a giant ape or one of the winged monkeys from the Wizard of Oz.
Deletegood ninja skills Albert!
ReplyDeleteThat is a small devil. Look at the wings, the horns, the stance on cloven feet. That's a devil all right.
ReplyDeleteomg! fast as lightning. straight to the eyes. that cat wasn't giving a tap was it
ReplyDeleteHow did she take it John ? XXXX
ReplyDeleteBadly..she sulked for around half an hour
Delete"RESPECT".
ReplyDeleteJane's cats xxxxx
Look at Albert's feet. Too funny. Hope Winifred will keep her distance now and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWinifred has learned a lesson here....don't be messin' with the kitty!!
ReplyDeleteAnd the audience (in the background) just laughs!

ReplyDeleteShadow & Tinka salute Albert. [I hope Winifred's ok]
ReplyDeleteSuch a violent home. Excuse me while I call the authorities. (In the meantime please record as video for You Tube inclusion)
ReplyDeleteOh, my! And the audience on the sofa mutters, "We told you so! Albert rules."
ReplyDeleteNancy in Iowa (one more week)
There's certainly no way you would be picking Winifred up to carry in your man bag ~ she's a solid girl.
ReplyDeletePoor Winifred....what did she do to deserve that? She'll need extra kisses tonight!
ReplyDeletehow on earth did you get that snap? a case of being in the right place at the right time with the camera!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kath... How in the world did you get that photo? Surely you didn't ask Albert to slap poor Winnie until you got just the right shot ;-)
ReplyDeleteBulldog doesn;t seem to be objecting particularly does she - or maybe she has experienced those sharp claws before and knows it is best to tolerate.
ReplyDeleteNice catch! I see the cat is not as enamored with the bull dog as you are.
ReplyDeleteAlbert looks like he's fencing or playing pool ! poor Winifed xx
ReplyDeleteWho needs tv with four dogs and a cat...
ReplyDeleteA sight I see all too often - except that it is usually me being slapped. With hot and pointy feet.
ReplyDeleteCats can always find a tender spot
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Cats rule; dogs drool.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
awwwwwwwwww mean kitty and I love Meg on the chair just looking on. Hey why are you bothering me, I was taking a nap !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Poor Winnie! She looks so innocent in this picture.
ReplyDeleteI swear when I first clicked on the page, I thought "oh my goodness,he's added a monkey of some sort to the homestead...." TOO FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteGlad all is ok and Winifred knows her place. :-)
Poor baby Winifred. x
ReplyDeleteHaha. Albert doesn't take anything from your dogs, does he, John?
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday. Hope your work shifts treated you well. ♥
Cats are the ninjas of the animal kingdom. Poor Winnie.
ReplyDeleteNever let it be said that pusses are wusses.
ReplyDeleteHow did you EVER get that shot?!

Enforcing boundaries. Size is irrelevant.
