OHMIGOD I LOVE THEM!!! Seriously, you will never be cold. Our cat and dog sleep with us, but that only equals about 23lbs. I think Winnie is that all on her own LOL.
51 minutes is not even a decent nap! Your companions, however, do not have any trouble sleeping -- that would really piss me off ;-) But aren't they all just the sweetest?
Is this what Chris sings?.... I met him at the candy store. He turned around and smiled at me. Ya get the picture? (Yes, we see) That's when I fell for the leader of the pack.
Hmmmmmm?! Now, Winifred is a little bit of a boulder (no fault of her own). So one does wonder if she made it up onto the bed by herself or if she was - gasp! - lifted up?
We're like Elephant's Child - it's cats in our bed, too! And mighty comfortable they are, all spread out, only moving to claim a few more inches.
It is so heartwarming to see Winnifred right there claiming a spot, too. She fits right in, figuratively and literally, although it looks like the "literally" is at your expense :)
You are well loved! We usually just have the corgi and a cat ( or two)...they tend to like the beds as the cool weather comes on. It's no fun in the summer!
Earlier this week II went to see a physician who is a sleep apnea specialist. He asked me about my ":Sleep Hygiene" (never knew such a thing existed). When I figured out what he was asking, I told him I sometimes read or watched TV in bed before going to sleep. The doctor quickly informed me that these terrible habits needed to stop & that I may only get into bed when I was ready to go sleep. He then asked if any pets were ever allowed to sleep in the bed. Seeing where the inquisition was heading, I quickly responded "Never". Actually 3 cats inhabit my bed every night while I sleep, read & watch TV, but I could tell that this information would not be met with approval. If the doctor had seen your video he would likely say that you have the worst "sleep hygiene".he ever saw, but he would be missing the point. Being well rested is highly over-rated when compared to the pleasure that comes from the companionship of being surrounded by ones' pets in bed. Besides, my cats are the most reliable alarm clocks I ever had because they insist on being served breakfast promptly at 6:30AM & if the jumping on my head doesn't get me up they know a sharp claw inserted in the thigh will. I do wonder where you & Chris fit because it looks like every spare inch of space is occupoed by one dog or another. Does Albert ever join you all in the communal bed?
So - Michael Jackson was right! (Re your blog title) Though when he woke up his bed wouldn't have been populated by furry companions like your lovable friends, but rather by......... No! I shall NOT make inferences, which we all know are filthy lies!
After seeing that clip I have nothing to complain about. We've only one 80 pound dog who shares ours! It does get a bit cosy shall I say, when the dog snuggles up between us so he can get warm on a cold Montreal winter night.
You're allowed...
ReplyDeleteWhat's their excuse?
Beautiful clip!
ReplyDeleteI showed this to Marcia. I called her over saying, 'Marcia! Come and see how Englishmen sleep!'
'NO!' she exclaimed, 'he sleeps with his animals!'
She won't even let the dogs into the house (I have ten now, by the way).
This clip really cheered me up, it was just so nice. I hated night shifts as well.
I can almost picture her shaking her head very slowly
DeleteSo how well do you sleep?
ReplyDeletePoorly...........I am working at the Samaratin's until 11pm tonight too!
DeleteWhat a beautiful comforter of dogs you have...
ReplyDeletedamn! they are keeping the bed warm for you.
ReplyDeleteWorth their weight in gold in the winter
DeleteOh u make me laugh! What a great clip to start my day with!
ReplyDeleteYou will never be cold.
ReplyDeleteOHMIGOD I LOVE THEM!!! Seriously, you will never be cold.

And clearly you are the pack leader since they all wanna sleep with you!
DeleteUsually Albert can be found amid the duvet too!
DeleteIt's time to retire, John. 51 minutes is not a night's sleep.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I needed that. :-) haha
ReplyDelete51 minutes is not even a decent nap! Your companions, however, do not have any trouble sleeping -- that would really piss me off ;-) But aren't they all just the sweetest?
ReplyDeleteha ha I love it !!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's adorable!!
ReplyDeleteJeeez; and I complain with one cat under my chin!
ReplyDeleteThat is just not enough sleep! You must go to work like a zombie.
ReplyDeleteCute comforters though, I know they are warm.
There is always room for one more...This is awesome....

Is there room for Chris in that bed??? You poor fellow....you sound so tired.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get some rest! I get grumpy when i don't get enough sleep.
ReplyDeleteI feel fine now..had another half an hour doze on the couch
Deletebeautiful...
ReplyDeleteYou didn't see me
DeleteI looked like the wreck of the Hesperus
Hmmmmmm?! Now, Winifred is a little bit of a boulder (no fault of her own). So one does wonder if she made it up onto the bed by herself or if she was - gasp! - lifted up?
ReplyDeleteNo iris...only George has to be lifted.....the others made their way up in drips and drabs
DeleteIsn't it nice to be loved?!!!
ReplyDeleteY'see I know everyone will hate me....but I don't like pets sleeping on beds.........but I must admit they certainly keep you warm.
ReplyDeleteSo,where do you sleep? Is there any room at all for you??
ReplyDeleteWe're not allowed to have them in bed.....apparently we will get ringworm. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteWot? You get ringworm from sleeping with your dogs????
DeleteI could use a tape worm (better than Weight Watchers) but I could do without that target on my head.
DeleteIt is cats in our house - and goodness they are bed hogs. Good luck your Samaritan shift.
ReplyDeleteWe're like Elephant's Child - it's cats in our bed, too! And mighty comfortable they are, all spread out, only moving to claim a few more inches.

You are much more generous with your bed space than I am, John! Being a very light sleeper this would not work for me.
ReplyDeleteYour drawers are clearly overstuffed!
ReplyDeleteIt's been said before

ReplyDeleteAww Winni is there too. That's so sweet. It's cats in my case until they start swiping each other on the qt. Then they all get kicked off,

ReplyDeleteThere's no room for Chris!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get a different shift soon.
No dogs under the covers? Our Jack Russell tunnels under the duvet. A wonder she doesn't smother.

ha. bet they keep you warm...but there will be no fast moving if you need to get up that is for sure....
ReplyDeleteIt would be more like the dogs have a Human taking up room in their bed, would it not be?
ReplyDelete♥ :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great long conversation this post has sparked among your folk. Great to see, and to read.
ReplyDeletehahahahaha... I only have the Two Square Ones but somehow they seem to take up the space of your four Gud Dugs !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
