Is it a sheep or a poodle.? Fucked if I know |
I am knee deep in constructing vegetable animals, baking and flower arranging. My quiche is finished and appears firm bottomed enough but I
was shocked to hear that my flower show nemesis -Terry Maltoff ( he was the committee member I accused of using furniture polish on his marrow if you remember) has just taken
HIS quiche out of the oven!
I didn't even know he was entering one!
The gloves are off!
Bring it on big guy!
Good luck Shaun
ReplyDeleteGood luck from me too x
ReplyDeleteLooks a bit like Grommet to me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo wish I could beam in for the festivities!!!!
It's a shepoodle! Good luck at the show.
ReplyDeleteMarvellous!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling you're just about to invent numero 102 on the parsnip list! Good Luck to you all for the weekend. I left a comment on the Flower Show Blog but I don't think it's frequented all that much!
ReplyDeleteOh, frigging hell, I'm never going to win against that! I just spent half an hour rifling through the carrots in Asda, trying to find a pointy one. I looked like a right weirdo!
ReplyDeleteI bet you fitted in with the other prestatyn weirdos
DeleteYou have an artistic eye....you'll be fine
To my knowledge I've never ever tasted a parsnip. (my loss?) But I love your caulibeagle creation. Best of luck in the show!
ReplyDeleteIt's a Shoodle
ReplyDeleteAnd a fine one at that.
DeleteSheep, but I'm a bit biased. Good luck and may the best veggie win.
ReplyDeleteA caulipoo. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it will be good once it cooked!
ReplyDeleteI doubt it........it's covered in glue
DeleteGuess the root vegetable?
ReplyDeleteI know it's banal
DeleteBut I enjoy it all tom
A pin-headed brain?
ReplyDeletethat's one scary group of vegetables. good luck with your quiche! maybe this will be your year!
ReplyDeleteSnoopy.
ReplyDeleteBad Hair Day.
Dead ringer.
Dog.....tail is all wrong for a sheep!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck John! You must post your quiche recipe. Love quiche! Cute little creation. Caulipoo, Sheepapoo, whatever, it's adorable!
ReplyDeleteI wonder, if your 15-year old self read this list of activities, would he be impressed, or embarrassed?
ReplyDeleteSince I'm only picking beans and cherry tomatoes by twos and threes now, I'm tempted to just turn them into sculptures for the fun of it. I bet it's harder than you'd think. (Beyond the obvious twigs and berries, you naughty, naughty man.)
Good luck with the show John, and especially your quiche! We're all cheering you on from cyberspace!
ReplyDeleteYou didn't ask, and I know you don't need any advice, but I'll just give you my tip for a good quiche as you know starts with the crust--to keep the crust from getting soggy, sprinkle grated cheese on it just when you take it from the oven after prebaking it--This way the cheese melts and seals the crust somewhat before you add the liquid filling--Or another way to keep it from getting soggy is to brush the crust with egg white before pouring the filling.
Again, good luck!!!!
I'm not sure what it is and really not sure if I want to eat it or pet it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the French version of Dougal!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Good luck, John!
ReplyDeleteI thought the veggie was Snoopy hiding in the cauliflower patch. ;-)
If I have to sell my wares..and yes I mean my WARES to raise enough money to get to that flower show next year...I will. And don't woory too much about your quiche, A soft bottomed one is just as worthy in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteYou have created a shoodle.
ReplyDeleteHi John. Is that Terry Malthoff who is married to Anne?
ReplyDeleteSue
Yes....
DeleteThey live round the corner
What a small world. We used to work together. Can you say Sue Foxon says hi.
DeleteGood luck today
Will there be blood?

That is a brilliant sheep.

ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it's brilliant! And are those feet or skis?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have you ever seen Carl Warner's vegetable-based landscapes? Just google Carl Warner foodscapes. You won't be disappointed!
If T Malthoff is bringing a quiche then don't forget to bring your marrow. Just make sure it is well buffed! I think your vegetable animal is definitely a 'sheep' dog.
ReplyDeleteOMG... I LOVE THAT SHPOODLE!!!
