Pippa from the old rectory volunteered for the the latest "Trelawnyd"
Internet Sensation.
Yesterday I did ask another villager who will remain nameless to add his version to the others
He refused with a smile
Saying
" YOU need to get out more"
Perhaps he's right!
Clearly Mr Nameless needs to get out more. Doesn't he realise you came out years ago?
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. Should we be trying this again with that place in Anglesey that has 52 letters in its name?
ReplyDeleteYou first..
As named by my daughter: Clan Fair Piggy Wiggy Gosh Gosh Gosh - well she was only 6!
DeleteGot a couple friends to try this - it's pretty entertaining.
DeleteOh, these sweet people have been very cooperative with you.
ReplyDeleteLovely project...your village status must now be confirmed...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the videos..I was actually wondering how to pronounce it..and you obviously ARE getting out more, to do all this!
ReplyDeleteYeah ~~~ Pippa strong and forceful
ReplyDeleteBoo ~~~ another villager !!! Someone needs a good tickle!
Brilliant. What a wonderful look at the people in your village. Thanks to Galestorm for starting this.
ReplyDeletejanet
At least he smiled when he said it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting glimpse into your world sir!
ReplyDeleteYou must be gaining quite a reputation in the town.
ReplyDeleteThere was I waxing lyrical 'Do you remember Walnut Whips?' My hand rested on the side of the sofa, with thumb and finger miming the size, of Lettice's (the dog) upstanding poo. My daughter-in-law said 'Linda you need to get out more!' My mouth opened and closed with shock and reluctantly I had to agree.

I love this whole thing! Besides, you HAVE been getting out for all the recordings. What an excited, go-go-go life!
ReplyDeleteI have been loving this series - thank you.
ReplyDeleteI think you get out plenty John! I really enjoyed the last two posts--I listened to them all twice... Maybe I need to get out more!
ReplyDeleteTreeeeLaaaawnid I think I've got it with a little southern mixed in! I can't wait for the next word!! You are a sweetheart. I wish you were my neighbor!
ReplyDeleteI watched all these today! Weee! I must say I've been saying it incorrectly. More of a "lawn" as in "yawn" rather than "law" like "cow". I stand corrected.
ReplyDeleteBesides echoing Hippo's comment, I imagine you spend more time outside than most people. Oh, wait...he meant interacting with other people, didn't he? Meh, that's what you've got US for!
ReplyDeleteSounds very Cornish to me .
ReplyDeleteYou and Gladys..the best. What a deep sexy voice you have John. Why are you not rich doing voice overs?
ReplyDeleteI still have a cold donna
DeleteHas it gone viral? ....Maybe there should have been an innoculation campaign!... How do the locals say Trelawnyd when they are pissed up?
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you, John!
ReplyDelete*hugs* ♥
