Now with Chris being away so often, I guess a couple of you may be wondering just what I get up to when home alone
well here are a few examples of today's treats :-
x 2 !!!!!!
then
Miranda (The Dinner Party episode)
Chris detests her
This episode was hilarious
Then the Anglo-Irish
Monster/comedy/horror film
Which was a cracking watch
Just stopped for a dog wee stop, blog moment and a cuppa
Then I intend to day dream to some epic music
(I mentally play scenes from the movie which I have planned in my head)
Chris hates this kind of thing too
Then I think I will have another
t shirt
Yes a border line mentally ill/geek
and why not?
(a cracking Danish Political drama)
sounds like the perfect way to spend some time to me. enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI will blame you for my weight gain! I had no idea what a scotch egg was before reading your blog. For a few weeks, I was saved by thinking they were a regional delicacy found only far away from my home in the pacific NW - then, while watching a show on a local restaurant boom in a nearby (like within walking distance) neighborhood, I heard of one very trendy hot spot that specializes in scotch eggs! I am doomed and can only hope that the walk to and fro offset the calories - damn you sir! :-)
ReplyDeleteanne
Deleteonce tried NEVER FORGOTTEN!
Those scotch eggs look delightful.
ReplyDeleteI have never had scotch eggs but have wanted to try some.
ReplyDeleteNow that you have mentioned them so much .... I need to try to make some.
Do you serve them hot or cold ?
cheers, parsnip
cold! with a nice glass of ice cold beer!
DeleteAnd so are most of us, but why not.
ReplyDeleteJohn, why are you paying for your Scotch eggs in dollars? Do you have a special Canadian supplier or something??
ReplyDeleteIT is just proof that scotch eggs circle the world!!
DeleteNova Scotia eggs?
DeleteJane x
WHOA, your telephone looks like something out of the 1940s! :O
ReplyDeleteYou really are a scotch egg freak aren't you?
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, I am with Chris on the Miranda thing.
Now if they could combine a Scotch Egg and a Faggot...
ReplyDeleteScoggots!
DeleteTasty,camp and very EXPENSIVE
DeleteOh the images this conjures. The Scotch eggs look good (especially store-bought).
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that one John, I think Miranda Hart is brilliant. Scotch eggs look delicious.
ReplyDeleteHello John... stumbled here via Nelly. Your hen in the header is a hoot, and your scotty reminds me so much of my Fergus (who went to where ever dogs go when they die). Still miss that little dog with the big attitude! I will try the Scotch eggs with a bottle of Kilt Lifter!
ReplyDeleteYes scotties are a breed unlike no other are they not
DeleteWhile the cat's away the mouse will play!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh deary me, the poor cottage fella's, a pump here, a pump there, here a pump, there a pump, everywhere a pump, pump.
ReplyDeleteI like your relaxed lifestyle my friend :)

Wild Nights in Trelawnyd!
ReplyDeleteHey John!! We just found out about the TV show Miranda - LOVE her! Unfortunately our PBS station only shows a few of the second season, Netflix doesn't carry any of her show. Boo hiss.
ReplyDeleteI heart scotch eggs! Enjoy!
Near us, The real Scotch Egg COmpany sell scotch eggs which aremade with haggis sausagemeat wrapped around the egg - scrummy!
ReplyDeleteMiranda was hysterical - we all were in stitches.
XXX
I'll tell you why not... Oh go on - spoil yourself.
ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't think you knit in your spare time.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you can solve all the worlds problems sitting in your underwear.
ReplyDeleteGill
I'll I hope u do too x
DeleteThank you for the detailed viewing of the scotch eggs! I will now remember them for sure. (No wonder you have flatulence)
ReplyDeleteLet 'er rip, John!
Home alone - good times!
Is that your phone? I love it, regardless.
ReplyDeleteYes it's our phone
DeleteLooks like a great day to me!
ReplyDeleteI suspect yours would be more babe orientated Eric!
DeleteWhy yes, yes I do think I would like a scotch egg and a couple of episodes of The Walking Dead.
ReplyDeleteHome alone is wonderful - but you can keep those scotch eggs. My mother made them when I was a child, and just the thought of them makes my mouth curl with distaste. Euuuuw. And yuck. Enjoy the rest of your you time.
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty damn good to me. And I am rather partial to a scotch egg now and again.
ReplyDeleteGrabbers looks like a hoot, I must look out for it. Was that Richard Coyle playing the lead? I haven't seen him in anything since Coupling, years ago. I always admired his acting.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how scotch eggs are with single malt? I too would prefer them with beer, but His Self, The MacKinnon would probably like the scotch. I have a recipe...maybe I will be brave this weekend and try it out! It seems like the sausage wouldn't want to stick to the eggs.
ReplyDeleteSo that's what a Scottish egg is. Haha. I thought it was chocolate...
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying yourself, John. :o)
And Miranda has a new boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried a Manchester egg? Black pud' instead of sausage meat.
Sounds like a good day to me. :)
ReplyDeleteI did exactly the same yesterday evening....Borgen anyway. Isn't it fab. Looks like they've put a bit more money into the second series; a real helicopter!
ReplyDeleteI love the description of what a Scotch Egg is for the benefit of dollar spenders.
You Wild Thing you!
ReplyDeleteA shame there isn't a vegetarian version of the Scotch Egg. And if you really have a phone of that vintage, it's probably worth thousands....
ReplyDeleteBorgen is excellent. I love the way they can make something as potentially soporific as the appointment of an EU Commissioner into edge-of-the-seat drama.
ReplyDeleteGood gawd, i looked up the recipe for scotch eggs...
ReplyDeletemy arteries need a rotorooting just by reading the directions..take it easy with those, they may look beautiful and harmless, but in 10 years time they'll take you out!
I do like the Kathie Winkle plate that your Calypso eggs are sitting on.
ReplyDeleteThose eggs seem expensive to me? Though as a demi-veg I haven't had one in years. I wonder if a decent veg one could be made, I know you can get them but they've always looked nasty to me so I left my memories unsullied. Do miss them though...
ReplyDeleteArgh - another person here to blame you for a future expanding waistline.... :-)
