Happy Birthday

A Normal Welsh Outfit

Today is my sister in law's Birthday, it's another milestone for her in a somewhat difficult year - I cannot quite believe that we have nearly reached the first anniversary of my brother's death.
Time sees to gallop on when you are teetering on the wrong side of 50, does it not?
It only seems like yesterday that we were all struggling with that awful experience of losing a sibling, a husband and a father and now we are almost 12 months down the line

People that "Marry into" a family, often morph effortlessly into that family.
Jayne is such a person. She was "there" when Janet and I were still children. She was there when we have hurtled through the brickbats of adulthood..
and she will be there, I am sure, when we will be all drawing our pensions
Happy Birthday Chuck!
We will call up later

  1. I had heard that there aren't many dalmatians left in North Wales.

  2. Happy birthday to John's strikingly beautiful sister-in-law. I just love the Welsh outfit and spent ages just gazing at the ensemble (love the Dalmatian brooch and flamboyant headgear) and her serene expression. Yes, I remember the loss of your brother last year. Great that Jayne is there for you and I'm sure she appreciates your love and support. Hope you're having a great weekend. Jo

  3. I bet your animal flock are a bit scared of Jayne - with her being Cruella de Vil and all. Good job William isn't a Dalmatian!

  9. First of all, you are not "teetering," not yet! Second, after a lifetime together, a year isn't that long. Third, I assume Jayne is of French extraction? Happy birthday, Jayne DeVille!

  13. Your family sound lovely. Unfortunately the family I married into (half)jokingly call us the 'outlaws'. If you are born a G then you can do no wrong and if you marry into the Gs you can do no right. A little like the Royals methinks. As much as I love MiL my secret nickname for her is Hyacinth 'Bookay'! In spite of her vascular dementia and needing a care home urgently, her wants are: a big house (ie grand looking) but modern and clean inside, with nice sitting rooms, and a large single bedroom - Bless.
