I have just lost a rather wry blog entry about gay icons
Blogger is being a bit of a cow at the moment!
It was a product of a wet and blustery Bank Holiday morning where I have holed up on the bed with the dogs as Chris is battling with a knotty research project in his office.
It is pissing down outside
and only the geese are out and about!
Suffice to say that I was going to bang on about how much I dislike Barbra (NOT BARBARA for Christsakes! ) Streisand's 1964 hit "People...People who need People!".....
I felt as though I was about to launch myself into the first line of the song after re reading yesterday's homage to the sweetness of the general public
Don't believe a word of it...I am not THAT nice!
but because blogger has thwarted my writing YET AGAIN!..I will just leave you with a sense of wanting more and with the peaceful and rather tear strained Olympic Emelie Sande who is one of my more recent of gay icons
The others being.....
Adele, Charlie Etheridge from tv's Road Wars, Lady Mary from Downton Abbey and
Melissa McBride from The Walking Dead
Enjoy!

Blogger is really messing with our heads ...#1 Post-Nothing there; #2 Post is same as this #3 post, all three listed on my Google Reader ... but then again if we had so many post to organize could you imagine the mess???
ReplyDeleteBlogger is a real cow today, isn`t it? I had a deuce of a time posting over at my blog as well.
ReplyDeleteThe little blogger gnomes probably feel they need a bank holiday.....
ReplyDeleteIt's an evil plot to get that treacly Barbra song stuck in my head. And you are the unwitting minion.
ReplyDeleteI'm not too keen on NASAL crooners, and Miss Sande is an archetype. My singing tutor would have turned grey.
ReplyDeleteWhen someone or something frustrates your ambitions, you really don't give in do you John!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Cro on this one but I admire (and respect) your tenacity.
Regarding Blogger, I have a load of posts written and ready to go but it can now take over four hours of trying to get a single post up. I have no idea what's up with blogger and when I log on now, I notice my address is no longer .com, it is .pt for portugal. I'm English/German and live in Angola but Google has decided I want all my content delivered in Pork and Cheese.
I have heard that the BBC newsreader Huw Edwards is a gay icon and so is the Cardiff City footballer Craig Bellamy. Can you confirm?
ReplyDeleteSo, I look like a gay icon? Fine with me.
ReplyDeleteJane x
Blogger has been treating me very gently lately. I know it can't last!
ReplyDeleteOne thing bugs me about Carol on the Walking Dead--how come her hair never grows out? She is a very compelling character, however and I hope she hangs in there!
ReplyDelete"Blogger is a bit of a cow".... made my morning dearie!! xo
ReplyDeleteCan we establish Aunty Gladys as a Gay Icon; I think she would be chuffed!
ReplyDeleteok cro
ReplyDeleteglad is now amongst the greats!
I don't care if Barbra is nasally and treacly, she's the tops in my book....the rest of you are just talking rubbish!

ReplyDelete.....so good I said it twice, apparently....get it sorted Blogger!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, even I the great techno-wizard (not!) had some frustrating issues with the likes of blogger. Finally gave up and hit "publish". Cursed cursor!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Emile Sande!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Nana Go-Go... I'm a big Streisand fan, too. Of her singing and comedic acting, that is. What she does in her private life is none of my business.
